Easy to remove for my opinion

My husband and I recently took a magnet fishing and we purchase those set of these for what was stated as a combined weight of 860 pound/pull; however, this magnet was significantly easier to remove or detach than the 150 pound/pull magnet I bought from Harbor freight for $9 the day before. I need a heavy duty bagnet but this one just wasn't it I could pull it off one handed myself and I am a pretty tall but thin weakling. Heck I might weigh in at a buck 40 soaking wet. Not a good choice for my

Pros
  • Great value for a fishing magnet. It wull need a strong rope
Cons
  • Fun as hell but don’t pick up 1000lbs.

Okay for the price: my feedback

The magnet able to hold a decent ammount of weight if directly on the magnet pulling vertical to the magnet surface, however with magnet fishing it is horizontal and doesn't hardly pick anything up especially if there are rocks at the bottom of the fishing area

Pros
  • Bought this for fun to go fishing with. Brought up an old shovel and lost rod and reel out of our pond.
Cons
  • Not as advertised and they do not take returns.

It does not work correctly

We bought a 250 weight first. Loved it but wanted bigger one. Bought this one. 2 sided. 1000lb combined. It Wouldn’t even pick up what the small one would. It barely lifted a 2 ft piece of pipe. The smaller one pulled in a tire!Want money back but no return policy. Worthless!

Pros
  • As advertised and is worth a purchase.
Cons
  • Doesn’t have the force it should to pull

Strong and sturdy good for me

Received these on time and was packaged securely being on the heavier side. Have yet to try it but looks strong and sturdy enough to do exactly what it’s meant for.

Pros
  • Material Handling Products
Cons
  • May not be effective in all bodies of water or terrain types

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Far too overrated! Barely picks up 25lb weight!

I tried to pick up a 25lb dumbbell and this "880lb magnet" can barely cling to it. It looks nice. But it is not what is advertised. False advertising gains sales again.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other forms of fishing equipment

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as strong as advertised

Good magnet, but is advertised as able to lift 760 lbs. Mine will lift about 40 lbs before breaking from a propane tank, as measured with a common luggage scale.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • May attract and trap small metal objects that can become a choking hazard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's strong. on my review.

These magnets are really strong. Before you stick it to steel make sure there is a way to slide it off. The average weight lifter won't budge it.

Pros
  • Great product and service!
Cons
  • May attract and pick up unwanted debris in addition to desired objects

Read my review for my opinion

The magnet is super weak. Small kids can pull it off of anything you stick it to. Update when you put it on a sledge hammer it is hard to get apart! Like it should so I am confused.

Pros
  • They liked them
Cons
  • Does not seem to be 1000 lbs and it seems a lot weaker than the 300 lbs I have already

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not that strong good for me

Looks strong, it's not if it's advertised as 860 get like a 1200 pound or more, I tried lifting a 30 pound dum bell whait even out of water and it doesn't lift it all the way up off the floor.

Pros
  • very strong, great for picking up nails after construction
Cons
  • Can be dangerous if ingested

This thing is a Monster

This is One Bad Ass Magnet, I love it, although I have to say it's not for beginners and it IS NOT easy to remove if you get it stuck to something you didn't plan on sticking it to. It will grab hold and you may have a heck of a time removing it. It's a helluva lot of fun, I've only had it for about a week (at time of this writing) and I have had an absolute blast with it. It is quite heavy and will wear your arm out throwing it. But isn't that all part of the fun?

Pros
  • Hoist Accessories
Cons
  • Could potentially cause serious injury if magnets collide with each other while in use

Not as advertised: my feedback

I'm not going to go too deep on this. Bottom line is, it advertises as a 400lb fishing magnet. It's not. Dont waste your money.

Pros
  • Nothing
Cons
  • Product says 1000 lbs but attachment strength is pretty weak. Can very easily pull off steel surface.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Heavy, only slightly stronger than a much smaller magnet.

This was my second fishing magnet purchase. I may have got lucky with the first, but this one was a total waste of money.Bottom line, save your money and buy a quality magnet from one of the specialty domestic magnet retailers. I've replaced this white elephant with a Kratos clamp magnet.

Pros
  • ‎Neodymium
Cons
  • Can become cumbersome and heavy to carry over long distances

Not as advertiseed. Weak, useless, waste of money

I wanted a magnet on the boat for that rare occasion when something gets dropped overboard. I already have a magnet that is 20% the size and is much stronger. The only purpose this magnet serves is to start an argument with the wife on wasting money.

Pros
  • My husband uses this to locate dropped tools in the water when he is working on his boat!
Cons
  • I stuck this to a 25 lb solid steel barbell and it fell off. They are false advertising.

Look for something better.

Way overrated. Barely picks up the bolt that came with it. Nowhere near 400 lbs. Was delayed, then arrived on original delivery date. Now Revain won’t let it be returned.

Pros
  • Has enough
Cons
  • Requires significant strength and dexterity to operate

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Garbage don't buy bad company to deal with!

States it has 760lbs Combined Strength. Defective magnet only has 50 lb lift per side combined its still less. Now stuck with this paper weight as its non returnable by Revain. The company has refused to issue any refund or replacement as promissed. They have used plenty of childish excuses.

Pros
  • Excellent, as described and works well. Recommended
Cons
  • Horrible. Don’t waste money. Smaller ones for less money work far better.

Not a good product best in my review

Not happy with the product it does not have any paperwork on it, it is just a magnet in a box and is not strong at all. I Asked for A 1300 pounds weight resistant, when I tried to return it amazon would not take the package back and I lost my money for something that I expected to get.

Pros
  • Multi Using
Cons
  • Could damage or scratch delicate surfaces

An infant can lift more

This was supposed to be a combined pull weight of 1500 lbs.it won't barely lift an object the same weight as itself.I would send it back, but most of the times it is just to much of a hassle.it's rediculous to scam people like this.that's the problem with this world! Nobody cares about selling a great product for a great price.it's " how cheap can we make this and screw people out of as much as we can".

Pros
  • Fishing Magnet
Cons
  • Can pose a risk to aquatic life if not used responsibly

Great purchase - my new review

Son has wanted to try magnet fishing for some time and at this price I didnt mind him giving it a try. You'll need to purchase a rope in order to use but that was as expected. He has retrieved many fishing lures(some expensive ones) at a local fishing dock and miscellaneous odds and ends which has actually paid for the magnet in only 2 trips. Being a boy scout he is very environmentally aware and loves all the steel objects that he pulls out of the water. He is very happy with performance and…

Pros
  • ‎1
Cons
  • Potential for magnet to rust over time

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very weak magnet on my review.

This magnet is supposed to be 880 lbs strength. That is 440 lbs per side. It is nowhere near that. I put it on a metal box and stood on the box. I was able to put 1 finger thru the eyelet and start pulling. It pulled off with what felt to less that picking up a 10 lb bag of potatoes. It's probably not worth sending back, so I'll just cut my losses and never buy from the company again.

Pros
  • Fishing lure finder.
Cons
  • Not appropriate for children
