Two piece FoMoCo nuts are terrible. The caps will come off if you're lucky, or they'll swell so much you can't get an emergency head on it to remove the flat. They have a high quality chrome finish and look very well made unlike some others. The threads were perfect. The only drawback: Made in China.

Overall these nuts are good quality. The only reason I returned them was because they weren't exactly fit for escaping in 2016. Factory Escape Nuts 2013+ have a much wider base than these nuts. While they fit and seem to hold the wheel well, they fit the rims differently. Because of this, I decided to use a different brand that more closely mimics the 2013+ factory nuts.

Well designed product and way better than OEM crap. The ring nuts are a bit higher than stated, but that is not noticeable on a superficial inspection. Can you imagine the local auto parts chain charging $6 for each broken chrome nut I had to replace?! This set of 20 was less than $30 after tax, and I needed at least 15 when I wanted to replace them. Can you imagine not being able to change a tire in the rain because those crappy OEM nuts are too swollen to remove?

Do yourself a favor and replace the original nuts. The problem is that OEM nuts have a decorative cap that can peel, warp, and prevent removal unless prepared with tools you don't typically carry around. Remove one at a time and apply a light coat of anti-seize compound to the stud threads and torque to specification. This prevents corrosion and rust. These nuts are strong, solid and good looking. Our 2009 Focus had swollen mounting nuts. I had never heard of this problem before. The original Ford nuts turned out to be regular chrome sheet metal nuts. Apparently the nut underneath is starting to rust. They then swell and push the sheet metal out to the point where a regular socket wrench will not fit. This is a much better solution. I bought these for my 2016 Transit Connect after trying to remove the OEM grommets. The OEM is impossible to remove without damaging them even after trying 3 different keys including the one that came with the car. These grommets are well packaged to avoid damage in transit.
