I wasn't sure whether to buy online or go to the store. I was short on time, I saw this dress and bought it. I doubt it because the sizes were different. But my 9 year old usually wears 7-8 pieces OR 10 pants. She is very tall and thin so I measured her from head to toe and chose a size 8-9. This fits perfectly just above her ankle and fits perfectly around her waist. However, if she were a bit thicker, it could be snug, but she's only bones and legs, so she fits perfectly.
