Mobil 1 M1C-251A Extended Performance Oil Filter - Boost Your Engine's Efficiency, 1 Pack Review

I don't know what to think of this filter. The picture in the description shows a metal case with rubber rings. In the picture on the box I received there is no metal at all. What I received is a completely bare paper filter with rubber edges painted over. When choosing this product, I made sure that it is sold and shipped. Amazon itself, not a third party. I'm not saying this filter is bad, but it would be nice to get what I expected, especially after doing my homework so to speak.

So I've been using these filters for years on my Scion Tc, the last one I got wasn't the one I used to have be. The end caps and o-rings are gone. The synthetic O-ring (small) has disappeared. I could save money and get the same quality. The filters are now green material, with no end caps, similar to the in-line K and N filters. Now the filters are made in South Korea. Not worth the price. Please send back the quality mobile or at least show the correct picture on the packaging. I'm afraid…

Other reviewers are absolutely right. If you've used this filter before, then it's changed - and not for the better. What used to be a quality filter with great filter media and excellent sealing is now a regular paper filter with no end caps and looks just like a genuine Toyota filter. I was trying to find information on the paper used as I was wondering if it would filter at least as well as the paper in the filter it replaced. Nothing was found on the mobile site either.
