Good towel warmer, bad end fittings

I would have given this towel warmer a higher rating if Moen had used an older style wall fitting instead of the type supplied. If you are following the installation instructions for regular 1/2 inch drywall, the pole will not attach securely to the wall unless you attach it to the stud. You will need to turn the molly screw 12-20 full turns instead of the recommended 6-8 turns. I found this out the hard way because it was difficult to remove the end connector afterwards to get to the molly…

NO, NO, DO NOT BUY!

Trust other reviews: The assembly system is one of the miserable technical developments I have ever experienced. I've installed many poles and similar accessories and have never had a problem. Almost all use the same system: a mounting bracket is screwed to the wall, then a small grub screw attaches the stand to the bracket. It's a simple design that works and has stood the test of time. Moen reinvented the wheel and made it square. Instead of a metal brace and set screw, they offer a plastic…

The mounting system is terrible

Can't rate this Brantford range low enough. Appearance is good but the attachment system is terrible. It's been 1 year since we bought and installed this towel rail, a couple of towel rails and a toilet roll holder. All of them are slowly but surely detaching themselves from the wall from daily use and are just hanging on the wall like limp noodles. I literally pulled the remaining fasteners out of the wall this morning and now I have to do a lot of additional repair work and drywall painting…

easy to install not uninstallable

I really hope that the Moen quality that I'm used to is still there because whoever came up with the new installation system, should be fired. Incredibly easy to install, takes less than 5 minutes. nightmare to remove it. It took me almost an hour to remove one of the retainers because honestly how can I put a microscopic hard plastic clip that doesn't flex through a small hole and pull to release it, I can't. Whatever you use to press the clip will get in the way. The only reason I was…

Brentford accessories are good and bad. See below

Bar judged. Feels like plastic. The parts holding it to the wall are nice and heavy, but the screws aren't long enough to screw into the rack. By the time you've gone through the drywall, you've used up the screw. I haven't had much success using plastic wall anchors to hold weights and wet towels. If you're working on new walls, think about where you're going to place the accessories and get the lines perfectly straight. Drill holes and then paint the walls. This way you won't see any lines on

Looks good but has imperfections

I have purchased several of these towel rails to match the Moen Brantford style faucets we recently installed. They look good and definitely match the faucets, but there are two things I don't like about them. First, the installation requires you to attach the end pieces to a plastic anchor screwed into the wall, but of the 7 separate end pieces I installed, only one snapped properly. The other six were pushed down with brute force and will hopefully hold up. In my opinion, this type of…

Looks good but very poor attachment system.

I've always liked Moen products. I've used them on many home renovations over the years. I'm hesitating between 5 stars for the optics and 1 star for the fastening system, i.e. 3 stars. First, they look and feel great. Well done. I bought the same style for 4 bathrooms in a house in Georgia and then again for 2 bathrooms in Maine. I've always complained about the small screws that attach the unit to the wall. I take everything back. The new system is terrible. In Georgia, at least, they used a…
