To use level 2 you will most likely need to add a new circuit and outlet in your garage.

This charging cable can be used for both level 1 (115 V) and level 2 (230 V). I bought it for its level 2 capability which charges 2.5 times faster than level 1. I knew I would have to add a new circuit and outlet in my garage to get 230 volts working, so I had all the ingredients for it. . Most people might want to hire an electrician for this job.

Great for standard 110 - nema5/15

I only have a 110 plug with a 15A circuit breaker. We refuse to let the electrician go on 220 during the covid as we have a newborn baby at home. I secured a regular Nema 5/15 outdoor charger with a strong, lockable, waterproof cover, bought a sealed case to plug in the adapter, and left the charger outdoors, permanently plugged in. This charger adjusts the current so I get about 30 minutes - 2 hours time savings compared to the factory charger depending on how low the battery is. - Daily…

Do not buy for 110v

Product description does not mention there are 2 versions, switchable (10A/16A) and non switchable I bought this to have on my car so I could have it On trips where I don't have a 220V socket, the seller sent me a non-switchable version that only supports 16A. It works with my 110V outlet but being a 20A switch it is very reasonable and prone to tripping when using other electrical equipment. Auto Voltage Range L1/L2 Charger

I wanted to upgrade to an L2 charger for my electric vehicle but didn't have time to install the correct circuit and socket. Due to some unfortunate circumstances I had to replace my L1 charger and found this unit. Loads fine up to a point.

The unit is very well assembled. I have a non-switchable device and I like the faster charge speed, but it hasn't gone through a full charge cycle yet. Runs great on 220V. When it reaches about 80%, it will stop charging and generate an error code of either 5 flashes for overcurrent protection or 6 flashes for short current protection.
