Even works with old motif bottles with mods.

I had an older Volkswagen Motive bleeder and other threaded brake fluid reservoirs so I had to change the bottle cage. Early bottles have a spigot on the fitting (male) that is cast into the bottle rather than a threaded brass sleeve. So cut off the threaded bush, take a small clamp and put it on. The bottle held the pressure perfectly and worked as usual. Now I can switch from threaded brake fluid master cylinders to three pistons!

Works great on 2014 Model S

Late 2014 Model S AP1. After replacing the front brake rotors and pads, I somehow managed to fill the system with air and didn't have much stopping power. I didn't know if I would need it but to be honest I did it myself. Pump method is obsolete. I couldn't see the bottle to see how much liquid came out and if any air bubbles came out I did this a second time with Motive and it helped get the air out. Honestly, there's nothing more stressful than having no braking power, especially when you…

Damaged tank, build your own instead!

I have a Pontiac G6. I used a thinner rubber washer and tried screwing it to the brake reservoir. As a precaution, I even oiled the tabs. As other reviewers have said, it's CUTTING THE TABS that hold the regular lid. Luckily I stopped halfway to avoid destroying the entire tab, but there is now a distinct notch/bulge that makes it difficult to unscrew a regular cap. Take my advice, buy one of these made of plastic, or better yet, MAKE YOUR OWN. I got a replacement cap and gasket from an auto…

Must come with extra seals

For perspective, this isn't my first rodeo with a motive and brake bleed; I have two of their other "Black Label" baseball caps that I have used on other brands of cars for almost 20 years. In any case, this lid is supplied with two rubber seals of different thicknesses. I used the thinner one on my late GM model. However, even with the thinner seal, the cap could not be screwed completely into the tank despite a decent amount of torque. I didn't plan on forcing it because I was afraid of…
