Leaking cap

Does not fit my 2004 Toyota 4Runner as described. It screws in but doesn't seal properly. I touch him and he immediately stands up. I don't have to twist it to open it. It was a waste of money.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't take Lexus or Toyota!

Bought to replace one in my 2007 Lexus GX 470. My check engine light came on due to fuel evaporation. Fits but doesn't seal properly. I'm sure it probably works with other cars but not mine.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Excellent purchase! in parts

It fits my 2004 Chevy Colorado perfectly and took maybe a minute to fit. New! I couldn't be happier! I've included before and after photos to show the amazing difference.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Modern

Bound Bonus; Check Engine Light Off

My husband installed this on my 2008 Scion tC with no problem. I guess he's connected. My old gas cap caused my check engine light to come on. After installing this new gas cap, the Check Engine light went out on its own after 2-3 days. Excellent price.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits my 2005 Prius but not new

I have bought two different brands and I prefer these. It just sits better in my hand and feels better when I press down hard. Fits my 2005 Prius as it should. My other Prius which is a little newer but has the exact same body and generation has different threads and doesn't fit this one.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • defects

Product quality is the best among spare parts

This gas cap fits my car as expected. It even seemed to seal better than the one that was on the car. Over the life of my car I've had to buy a few new ones. I love that it has a tether mount and a set of plastic screws that go into the hole to secure the mount. The product is of high quality and the price is much better than auto parts stores.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Operating speed

Perfect fit for 2006 Scion tC

We had a check engine light (P0441 and P0455) on our 2006 Scion tC. It also failed EVap, Cata, O2 sensor not ready. Replaced the gas cap on this model, drove about 100 miles and bam! The Check Engine light is off and all codes are cleared and tested. I thought all of these gas cap replacement recommendations were voodoo magic, but it worked for us.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Faulty

Will not fit the 2010 Prius as stated in Revain's Autotest

I ordered this replacement gas cap while trying to repair the ODB2 code P0441 on a 2010 Toyota Prius. I didn't have access to the car when I ordered it, so I couldn't compare the photos to what was on the vehicle, and I took Revain's word for the auto inspection saying it matched this year's Prius. When it arrived I went to my dad's house to have the cap replaced and it doesn't even come close and doesn't have any threads like a worn stock Toyota cap. I hope this review helps someone else avoid

Pros
  • hands-free mode
Cons
  • . The list is getting long.
