Poor quality replacement parts

Does not snap in place like the factory cap. The pressure seems to hold, but that will confuse your mechanic as the latch arrows are misaligned.

leaks on first try

even with antifreeze getting warm on engine and on the way. And put a low coolant warning on the dash. I suspect the expansion tank is leaking. However, this was not the case before I installed a new cap there was no leak. The reason I got a new lid is a small chip on the lid but it doesn't drip

Radiator cap for BMW X5 must be.

BMW X5 Radiator Cap should click when fully closed. This doesn't click, just tighten, which can result in the CAP being overtightened and potentially damaging the tank. I didn't want to return such a small item so here I just used a rubber o-ring to replace the o-ring on the cap I was replacing, keeping my original cap. What an expensive O-ring.

Do not buy for BMW E65 and E66!

I installed this cap along with a new receiver for my e65 and assuming my radiator and receiver were just low I did a radiator flush which I did as well. Well I was wrong, that cap seemed normal at idle and while you were driving it just leaked all over the engine bay and the wiring harness which is conveniently located next to the reservoir. Revain says this case fits my e65. No this is wrong, don't buy if you have e65 or e66. It was a big mistake and cost me $40 in radiator fluid. After…
