This towel rail is great for hanging towels but above all it's functional. The rungs are wide enough to accommodate a standard sized bath towel folded in half. The height also provides enough clearance from the bottom of the towels to the floor. In my very small bathroom I needed a shelf for the corner of the room. I also needed fully adjustable brackets so I could place the bars at a 30 degree angle to the wall and keep the space visually open. Very happy!

Weak, poorly finished product. The base is weighted plastic with a metal "shell" on top, about the thickness of an aluminum soda can. The "shell" came with small dents and discolored spots. The center post is 3 bars that you screw together but don't connect evenly so it was crooked. The ends of the towel rails are silver plastic caps that simply slide on (and pop out!). I really liked this and will keep it - I would have preferred a base that wasn't just a cover. So the base is a black hard heavy round base with a thin chrome coating. It's ok, but I would have liked a more complete base. The accessories that hold the pieces together are plastic and I wish they were chrome plated too. Ok overall it does what we need, I like the height as it keeps our largest towels off the floor. However, the little end balls that you place on your hands just sit there. They don't screw in and are EASY to remove. If you have young children, I do NOT recommend this product for this reason!
