NANPU 1/2" NPT Air Drying System - 5 Micron Particulate Filter, 0.01 Micron Coalescing Filter, Air Pressure Regulator Combo - Semi-Auto Drain, Poly Bowl W/Metal Gauge Review

I had persistent difficulties with a very slight leak at the regulator. I "think" I have finally chased it down after working with it for 3 months. Frustrating.I do like the filtering system but, with its tendency to leak, I've been disappointed. It really seemed like it was well made; the fit and finish is top-notch. Unfortunately, it tends to allow air to flow outside the system and that kinda defeats the whole purpose. Can't recommend it.

Worked okay but the air fittings are plastic and not strong they broke really easy. Plan on buying some good ones Semi-auto drain may become clogged with debris.

Very easy to install. I plumbed my garage for air using this filter and pressure/dryer it works like a champ. Only thing I can complain about is there were no instructions on how to operate the controls but, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out.

It leaked between valve/gauge and filters. Luckily it was just assembled wrong and O ring was not in correct groove causing leak. Repositioned O ring and no leaks.

We had remove a ton of paint from inside the threads that wasn't smooth and use a ton of teflon tape to establish a seal with the compressor hose. Really not happy.

Does what it says! I was having issues spraying poly on an antique table restoration. Turns out I had too much moisture in the air line. Installed this baby, and the next attempt was perfect! Love the auto drains on it too!

I had leaks between both filters and air coming out of the back of the regulator. I ended up putting pipe nipples between the filters to solve the leaks. the regulator itself still leaks out of the screw hole in the back.It works fine, just leaks a lot.

Now how hard should this be to install? A 'mental giant' like me should be able to do so with out a hitch.right?All went well until I had to adjust the regulator. It would not adjust. I could not turn the regulator knob at all. It was completely lose.I actually broke a piece of the knob off trying to turn it. It still works.I finally disconnected it from the compressor. remove the 'cap' (knob cover) and took a wrench to the metal regulator knob under the cap. It would not turn without it. After

So far everything has been great. I did not use any of the included fittings due to already having Poly tube fittings. So far no leaks and setup was very easy.I will update if anything changes.

There were no instructions on which side was the in and which was the out. I hooked it up backwards. Thanks to another reviewer, David N. Hull, I found that he had the same issue. Or at least mark "in" and "out" on the unit. Otherwise good unit.

Neer had a filter on the air compresser until I decided to drain it one day. Now it is part of the compressor setup and my air tools are much happier.

I was surprised while trying to reverse mount the NANPU ! After you remove the mounting bracket screws the unit came apart in several pieces. I was expecting the mounting bracket to come off not the entire unit to be rebuilt .it wasn't hard just unexpected.

This took me about 10 minutes to install. I installed it 25 feet away from the compressor, it’s only been in use for a couple hours run time but I have no complaints.

The Bad:The back of the pressure gauge bottoms out on the housing before it threads in enough to seal, so it leaks really bad at the regulator. I ended up removing the regulator and just running the two filers. The cages that go over the bowls are difficult to reinstall. You really have to fiddle with it to get it to twist in. The autodrain leaks everywhere even if you have a tube pushed into the fitting.The Good:The autodrain functions and is a nice feature. The filters seem to be getting most

Everything worked great from the installation to the function, its just the gauge itself has a small leak, I sprayed windex on it and sure enough bubbles from the inside of the gauge, If this company could send me a new gauge things would be great.

I put this dryer in-line just after my compressor and before about 20’ of galvanized pipe taking my air to another section of my shop. It seems to be working rather well and allows for easy dumping of any water build up. Now if I can figure out a way to eliminate water from my compressor tank….

I was really impressed with this unit. All the fittings I needed were included, plumber's tape (though it is really thin), and it came mostly assembled. The way they designed this makes each module interchangeable. I actually removed the module with the pressure gauge to do a pressure test, everything worked perfect without the filters attached. I like this unit a lot maybe I just got a dud I could tell the leak I had was internal the seal inside does not seat correctly it leaked air didn't have time to send it back and wait for a return had to paint that weekend the last warm weekend to make it happen so I just tossed the item in the trash.If the seal was good it would be perfect wouldn't get much better than this. But the pin was bent and seal wasn't proper on one filter.PS these are filters not dryers so don't get that mixed up

I actually installed two of these items in my shop. They really work well to eliminate water in the compressor air lines!
