False claims of flow restriction

Specially purchased based on claiming there is no flow restriction. A flat false statement. The photos show the through holes are only 1/4 inch. The only reason it gets 2 stars is the build quality.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Not 3 way, just 2.

It's not a three way system, it only drains water in two directions, not three, just because it has three holes it's not a three way system. You don't count the hole the water enters, just how many directions you can let it flow.

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Negative present

Significant flow reduction. Not recommended.

Here is a quote from the description. "Never restrict the flow of water to the showerhead." This diverter valve ranges in diameter from 1/2" to a tiny 3/16" orifice, a powerful restriction that reduces water usage by over 90%. It's terrible.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • long delivery time

It's a real bargain

Too bad you have to point this out but the artificial plastic pairs sold here and elsewhere are highlighting products that are of normal weight, strength and life expectancy. you need. Oh yeah, I don't like plastic parts - they are NOT durable - they are made to be replaced. All this crap was about the price being too close to Home Depot's price range, but I bought it and I'm glad I went for quality.

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • Safety

Leaks past the ball valve when set to variable flow

I installed this as per the intended configuration: add a hand held shower diverter to the fixed shower head. After installation and after everything was tightened, there was no leak at any of the connections. However, when the valve is switched from the main outlet to the bypass, the ball valve on the main outlet will leak. Fortunately, the leak is small enough that the pressure or volume released has no significant effect. But it sucks.-s.west

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not the best

Celebration; Plastic Valve Core

Ideal for showering as small leaks (if they occur) are not a concern. The body is made of brass and comes with a good silicone seal for the internal threads. Don't remember if seals were included for male tips (G threads are straight, not tapered, so you need washers instead of Teflon; hoses have built-in washers). Sent back because my install is in a dry area and I haven't had a chance to leak out of the valve stem. I wanted a ball valve with a metal core. Instead, this valve has a visible…
