I wanted to buy my own router so I can.

I wanted to buy my own router instead of renting it from the cable company. The ISP I have uses fiber optic cable to provide internet access to its members, so I don't need a modem. just the router and an Ethernet cable that connects the router directly to a CAT-5 outlet. I've had the device for about 3 months now. The positive thing I can say is that it is easy to install and run. The built-in software called Netgear Genie is easy to use and allows you to set up a home network as well as a…

Excellent Verizon DSL Modem Router

The NETGEAR N600 DGND3700v2 exceeded my expectations based on Revain's reviews. modem router. However; it was really easy to set up. I entered my Verizon account and password information and let the router configure itself automatically. In less than 10 minutes the NETGEAR N600 was set up and we were connected to the internet. The range is large. It easily covers my entire two story house. The dual range is just amazing. The N600 easily handles three of my teenagers and 6 to 8 connected…

Purchased as a basic modem/router kit for the Windstream service. It works MUCH better than the Windstream modem. With this you can have two simultaneous bands, but I still haven't figured it out - we do run one though and it's pretty fast internet for our area, faster than our service before we bought it and set it up. We have a laptop, 3 phones, two kindles, an xbox, a tablet and a printer all connected to wifi on this router all the time and it's still working great. Sometimes it crashes…

DNS/Internet connection loss fixed

I'm glad I chose V2 as there are so many bad reviews for the original. Stable connection without interruptions DHCP connection with the provider; However, if you use the radio buttons to connect to ISP STATIC, it's the same with the ISP's DNS servers. The router is blocked and does not connect after pressing APPLY. Internet access devices which need a static connection to the ISP to maintain the ISP assigned address in order to function properly.) Purchased this after replacing the DSL modem…

I really liked the product description

SELECTION: I liked the product description. I have a Verizon DSL and was concerned about getting a compatible modem router. After narrowing down the number of devices I looked at, I chose this one based on the good reviews and because it was the most obvious that it was compatible. INSTALLATION: More than two hours ugh. Even though everything was connected to the correct cables as shown in the diagram, the system did not recognize my computer. If this happens to you in the setup wizard, don't…

A good DSL modem/router is relatively easy to connect.

I received this DSL modem/router because of a problem with my Fire Stick's wireless connection. This device is relatively easy to connect and install. I would recommend that you change the password on the router once it is up and running. The only problem I had was connecting with my browser. Instructions on how to do this are not readily available. I had to search the manual for the correct name and format. If you're already familiar with it, don't worry. I have it on Verizon DSL. NETGEAR says

Phenomenal product, worth every penny - ISP - CenturyLink

After some very bad discussions with CenturyLink (was a Qwest customer for 30 years prior to the acquisition) I was given the option to buy their modem for $6 to rent per month. or buy it from them for $100. I also declined because CenturyLink provided free modems for the first two years of Arizona service, but suddenly their modem provided during the service merger began to discontinue service. They no longer offer free modems for use in connection with their Services and no longer support the
