My equipment is water-repellent like new!

Before using Nikwax TX, be sure to read the instructions, including pre-rinsing your washing machine to remove detergent residue and using Nikwax Tech Wash. Directly washable impregnation Nikwax TX.Directly washable impregnation. I bought both Tech Wash and TX.Direct in 30.4 ounce bottles. The best of the "green " options, but still very boring.

I am using this product to try and recoat a pair of Orvis Silversonic waders and a Sims G3 wading jacket that both got wet. surface tissue. Both products have been thoroughly hand washed and then rinsed with TX detergent and then treated as directed with dwr TX direct which was allowed to dry for at least 48 hours before entering the water. At first the results seemed great but unfortunately they only lasted about half an hour and then everything was back to how it was before, maybe not that…

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
