Best fans I've used in about 20 years of rig building.

These things are amazing. I've always wanted to try Noctua fans (I usually use Corsair or Xigmatek) and I always seem to come back to them because of the price. Don't get me wrong, these are great products. However, this Noctua NF-A14 knocks them out of the water. I replaced both of the stock Corsair fans on my H110iGT because one of them was starting to rattle. I also replaced two Xigmatek fans on the side window. Almost all are silent due to speed control, and all temperatures in my system…

It's a tornado! in Computer Components

No user will or should use them at 100% speed. It's inevitably loud at this level, but given its full 2000rpm that's to be expected. The ideal place for me is revs up to 65%, up to this point all noise is cut off due to my headset. As an aside I have 3 of these fans installed as intake fans in my P600S case and in my current performance with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280MM my I-7-7000 OC at 4.8GHz idles at 30 degrees Celsius and up to 65 degrees in CPU-heavy games (Squad etc.). Currently my…

Possibly the best 140mm fan

I had 2 Corsair Ml140s on top of the case for exhaust. They worked fairly well, but above 50% speed they seemed to make a fairly audible hum. I dabbled with them for performance until I came across the NF-A14 iPPC-2000s. This is the industrial version of the NF-A14, which has 500rpm and more noise, but comes in black instead of the usual tan. I wasn't sure it was worth spending another $50 for what could be essentially the same fans as my Corsair ML140, but after listening to the ML140 hum for…

Bought 2, 1 already died in a week

Bought 2 and delivered on the 17th, the new case didn't come until the 19th. Since I switched to MiniITX I've had to buy a fan hub as my new motherboard only had one case fan slot. I hooked up 4 fans with a new hub with no problems. On the 24th I had to remodel my computer as there was an airflow issue and I also wanted to install my new cable mods. The CPU boot fans turn on, but the chase fans do not turn on. Had to re-open the PC to see if the cable was properly connected and that was it. the

These things blow for computers and accessories

- 2x front inlet 1x rear outlet in Corsair Air 540 case.- Pushes air through polyurethane mesh filter and then case dust filter, no problem. Fans and NH-d15 are very good. I haven't checked the before and after temperature, but thermal throttling is now not possible in my current build and overclock settings. The PWM is easily controlled using a Silverstone PWM hub ($15) on my old MB with only one PWM port. - Audible characteristic low hum under moderate load, but can get noticeably louder…
