Perfect popovers! in the kitchen and dining room

This pan makes perfect popovers. I used the King Arthur Flour recipe, not the potted one. The recipes weren't much different and I would have felt comfortable either way. I brushed the indentations for the pan with melted butter and then dusted them with flour. It was a bit of a hassle, but the popovers came out easily after baking. Next time I'll try a flour spray. The frying pan was easy to clean but a bit awkward because of the small indentations. Not unexpected. I look forward to trying the

More versatile than you think

I bought the miniature popover pan not to make popovers per se, but to make Thomas Keller's famous bouchon. It uses silicone, but I just don't like silicone or plastic if I can avoid it. This is the perfect answer. This is my 13th Nordicware pan so I knew what I needed with quality and durability. As long as you butter and flour the pan, it works beautifully. I've made popovers from the box recipe a few times since then, and they've been a quick and enjoyable addition to various spreads and…

Amazing popover pan!

Wow, this mini planter pan is cool. But you need the right recipe and technique. As others have said, the King Arthur recipe (found online) is the best (follow their advice such as heat the pan first, all ingredients should be at room temperature, etc.). hum When I used King Arthur flour, which has more gluten in it, these crumbs rose like crazy. I usually make half a batch and leave a few empty holes, so I fill them with water (popovers need steam to pop). Before filling, I spray the cavities…

Very easy to use and makes perfect popovers

Use the recipe on the back of the package label. Use the baking spray they offer. This wasn't the first time I've done this, instead I added chunks of butter and then dusted with flour and the bottom of each container just left puddles of butter which was a waste of time. Popovers don't spread across the container, so that part of the pan doesn't need to be sprayed. Leftover popovers can be reheated in just a few seconds in the microwave and are still delicious. It's so nice to get a Revain…

Mini Yorkshire Pudding!

Ok, this worked great for mini Yorkshire puddings (beef/salt and pepper flavored popover that doesn't actually contain pudding). (Popover has butter but this one doesn't) This is a traditional bread served with beef (like roast ribs). I tested several pours in this pan and found that 20ml of batter (1 tablespoon plus a teaspoon) was perfect. for Yorkshire pudding. Lubricate with beef tallow if you like, but when I first started cooking (I needed 60) I just used a spray oil (Pam). I live in the…
