👞 Nunn Bush 85538 009 Penny Loafer: Classic Style and Lasting Comfort Review

They were comfortable shoes but to my surprise the heel is hollow rubber so when you put the heel on (just normal clothes) it turns into a honeycomb and water seeps into the shoes. Who on earth came up with or approved this design. So those perfect shoes that are all worn out are useless now. If you wear these shoes, it will happen. I assume all Nunn Bush shoes are made this way. Very disappointing.

I was amazed by the luxurious feel and look of my new brown Nunn Bush loafers to date when I noticed the clear trim was peeling off the toe when I went through the churchyard. I've only worn these shoes half a dozen times. I wish I had read the other reviews before buying mine. I don't see any way to contact the manufacturer. Has anyone heard of shoeshine? Real leather should be treated with real shoe polish.

I have just checked that the last purchase date for these shoes is January 2014. Both legs are leaking in puddles. I turned them over and the soles under both toes were completely worn out. I wear them to work and only walk on carpet except in the parking lot. The upper stays shiny and looking brand new, but the soles have almost disappeared under my toes. Strange. The previous pair lasted about 14 months and failed in the same way. .
