This product is a smart idea. In my case it didn't reduce the squeaking in my floor. I have a #2 maple floor with a 3/4" OSB subfloor. The maple floor is loose in several places. I can stand on two adjacent boards and feel them move relative to each other as they squeak. I went under the dirt and saw my sub floor is glued to the floor joists.
