Great replacement for a wick!

I put this in a small storm lamp and it works great! Excellent value for money and I have enough spare lamp wicks to last the rest of my grandchildren's lives.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Terrible oil lamp wicks and accessories

Not even an hour without an adjustment. I tried using them in two different oil lamps with paraffin oil - previous wicks with the same oil lasted 10x longer. I think tissues are not suitable for petroleum jelly - might work with kerosene but are useless with petroleum jelly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Let your lamps burn bright.

If you're using a lot of lights, wick rolls are great. Good quality, long life, excellent light, performance, no complaints. There are frequent power cuts, but my houses are never dark. While it is dark in every house, I sit in a well-lit house and read a book. Also a must-have for preppers. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Lasting Test Results
Cons
  • No Paint Required

Perfect fit for my lamp

Good price. Will accompany me for a long time. I ordered these after previously ordering a slightly smaller size. Be sure to look for the little stars on the base of the lamp that advance the wick and make sure the wick you order is wide enough for the wick to advance properly. It's so nice to be able to order things like this and get them so quickly.

Just pay attention to the right width, that's important.

Everything seems fine with this product. I can't comment on the durability as I've only used it a few times. Just make sure you buy the right width? usually tear and get stuck in the height adjuster. Quick tip ::: If you cut the length of the wick, make it long enough to be coiled a few inches at the bottom of the fuel tank. This keeps the wick longer and better saturated. for a more comfortable burn. Also, you use up all the fuel in the tank.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very happy with these wicks

Original and reproduction Eagle #2 burner wick channels are typically exactly 1 inch wide. Many of the originals warped less than 1 inch, compressing the wick which clumps and does not feed when the feed wheel is turned. Buying a slightly smaller wick solves this problem. I also found that I had to trim the wicks less often than other wicks. I test a couple of my lamps to see if there is a central dark band to see which have Lamp Mate wicks. They seem to need less maintenance. I don't know how…

Pros
  • Hands free operation

  • Upgrade available

When the light goes out I'm ready

I have a couple of very old oil lamps and one of them had no wick. I measured the opening and concluded that a 7/8" wick is needed, so I placed my order. The wick came quickly and was well packaged. I cut off a roll about 8 cm long and put the wick in the lamp together with the new lamp oil. The wick fits perfectly. Then I let the oil rise to the top of the wick for about 15 minutes and then came the moment of truth. I touched the wick with a lucky match and BINGO - I had a light. I let it run…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Not sure
