Amazing brush!

I needed a longer brush as I keep shaving soap in a powdered sugar shaker. (I can use this to create great lather without smearing the soap all over.) I was hesitant to get a brush at first since it's made of boar bristle and not badger bristle. This turned out to be a feature, not a flaw: a slightly stiff brush creates a nice lather much faster than a badger brush. It has more cream in it which is fantastic for me when I shave my head and face. And it spreads the shaving cream much better than

The product absolutely stinks.

The brush straight up smells really bad. I've used it multiple times, washed it with different types of soap, Oxyclean, Febreze and even in the dishwasher as a last resort to get rid of the stench. Nothing worked. Honestly, it smells like shit. The smell is very strong from the packaging and goes away after a few washes, but as soon as it gets wet the stench comes out. I would never have bought this brush if I knew it smelled so strong. It worked great a few times when I used it for a wet shave

A classic shaving accessory

I have quite a few brushes, ranging from very cheap to medium ($200). You absolutely can't go wrong with the 10098. Whether you're just starting out with wet shaving or are a seasoned pro who doesn't have a good boar brush, this is a fantastic brush. While this brush needs to be broken open to get the full experience, it's not entirely useless with its first lather. I recommend soaking it in a glass of water a few times a day for a few days to help it break down a bit faster. It smells like wet

Very accessible, longer handle offers better grip.

I really like the handle of this brush. Being longer than most shaving brushes makes it much easier to hold. If, like me, you have arthritis in your hands, this might also help. I have one for my friend who has neuropathy; he is also very happy. The bristles could be a little softer. But it's not enough for me to complain. I am very happy with this brush, especially given the affordable price.

Shaving Accessories Beautiful

To be honest this is the first shaving brush I've ever used so I really have no basis for comparison. The reasons I chose this brush are the reviews, the size as I have big hands and the value for money. The brush looks well made. I've used it twice and counted 2 bristles I lost on the first use and none on the second. The bristles are stiff enough to lift my stubble for a close shave and feel very comfortable. They foam like crazy and can hold a ton of water. All in all, this is a great brush.

Cheap but effective

Large brush; The handle is big and the knot is big. I have big hands so it fits me. Some people complain that the bristles are too hard and smell bad. This is fairly typical of boar brushes. There are some things you can do to improve this situation. While this will likely shorten the life of my brush, I heated some water in a saucepan on the stove to about 165 degrees Fahrenheit. I just dipped the bristles (not the handle) in hot water for a few seconds and then let the brush cool. I repeated…

Perfect for my needs

My shaving mug broke after a few years and a new mug needs a longer handled shaving brush. Not only does it have a longer and thicker handle than my previous brush, it also has longer bristles. The bristles are denser than my other brushes, which makes applying the soap more precise. The shaving brush smells when it first gets wet (the "wet dog" smell of pet hair shaving brushes), but the smell will dissipate after a week or two. I believe another review has instructions on how to get rid of…
