Repair it yourself: spare parts

My mechanic wanted $600 to fix a problem with the fuel pump relay. A little research revealed that I needed this Omron replacement relay. I ordered from Revain and it was just what I needed. Total cost: $11.99 (free shipping with Prime). The old 1997 Silverado works like a Gazelle.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Fixed my low beam not working on my 98 and 99 Chevy Astros.

Astros '98 and '99 experienced a mysterious low beam failure within a month. My mechanic told me to try and I did and now the crisis is over. I like my mechanic as he gives me some free trading tips here and there. Very easy to fix.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Missing part for my Chevy Suburban!

I sent the relay back because it didn't fit my GM car. The best way to find parts is to go to an auto parts store and if you don't like the price they give you, take the specific part number they give you online and look for it.
