Nothing super in this ball.

I remember the "Original" Super Ball and although it is listed as original it is absolutely not. Bought to pass on a wonderful toy. It was like generating energy for the rebound, but this ball is just tough. Hardly bounces. I won't even give it to my grandson. It's pretty much useless.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Not original size. in Leisure Sports & Game Room

Not actual size. Partly my fault, I should have read the reviews. Advertised as original. Original material maybe, but less. The seams don't match. It will be fun to jump. I used sandpaper and did better but still no play. If you grind away all the inconsistencies, you'll likely end up with a flat spot. If I could find the original I would buy it. I still enjoy playing with my grandchildren.

Unadvertised product.

Due to the look and size of this packaging, this super ball is 2" in diameter. Mine is made by Whamo and is only an inch and a half or so in diameter. I wanted a two inch ball. This picture says one measurement will be the diameter of the ball. It's just a Whamo brand Superball. I feel cheated because even the packaging is wrong.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure

Not even remotely original. Approximately 2/3 size and 10% less bounce.

Not even remotely original. About 2/3 size and 10% less rebound. It's absolutely shocking that they can't easily replicate the Super Ball from the 1960's. You can sometimes find them on eBay for over $100. Now I know why, there is no other way. Think about it, the manufacturer could have made the original version and made a lot of money.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not the best

too much fun in balls

I bought this for my grandson. I have had many of these toys and they have always been my favorite toys. I found the quality to be higher than I remember and it seems like there has been a quantum leap in technology! Outstanding performance! He loves to! Like me as a kid, he thinks wearing a baseball glove is a must! Be prepared to lose it when playing outdoors! It seems a bit pricey for what it is, but then again, it might just be the LGBrandon world we live in. However, quality and…

Definitely NOT the "Superball " I had as a kid!

Definitely NOT the "Original zektron Superball". It's MUCH smaller, doesn't bounce as far as the "Original Super Ball". I remember the second bounce of the original Superball actually defying physics and bouncing higher than the first bounce. They were very unpredictable and a bit dangerous so they were taken off the market. What they sell here is a 'watered down' version of the original and calling it 'original' is very misleading and will disappoint anyone who thinks they resemble the ones…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Jumps squinting and in different directions

I don't mind the people who sent this to me, they did a great job. This ball is slightly smaller than my vintage 1965 Wham-O Superball and definitely does not bounce. Not only does this one not jump that high, it also jumps weirdly. He loves to run in different directions. Was it made with Zectron? Come on, Wham-O, why don't you just make the ball exactly how it was in the '60s? Why should it be different? Anyway, I don't regret the purchase. I was excited to see how the new ball bounces…

  • Inspires confidence

Fake Thing - Outdoor Games and Activities

As a kid growing up in the mid 60's and early 70's I had a lot of Super Balls and while it was an interesting promise, "flash from the past" is by no means "the real thing". Real Super Balls had a significantly higher bounce rate; You can drop them from a known height and they will bounce 80% or 90% of that height. This ball is maybe 50% at best. It behaves more or less like a golf ball in terms of magnitude of impact. I don't know what the REAL "real thing" was made out of or what processes…
