This baby is a lot of fun

This baby is a lot of fun. If you're a trained musician, it's fairly easy to record and play popular songs and chord progressions on the Otamatone, although the packaging says it won't hit the exact notes like a real musical instrument. Even if you're not a very skilled musician, you can have fun creating little patterns that sound good, and on top of everything else, my Otomatone has been a very fun talking point since I bought it. In general I am very happy with my baby!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Good for the price. the best of electronic keyboards

Good instruments usually cost over $40. I bought it because I saw this video. Looks a lot cheaper/smaller than the ones I've seen. Sure it works, but a very weak feel and you have to press hard for the touchpad to notice, it's not very responsive to touch so it's pretty hard to play well. Also takes batteries instead of rechargeable batteries, which sucks in 2021 because batteries are expensive and quiet. This is a cool fun little toy instrument but kid quality if you really want one of these I

I'm a little bit sorry I bought this.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter because she saw it on YouTube and wanted to try it. to describe it. Train whistle at death's door? If you're trying to annoy your family, I highly recommend this product. So your child can play 24 hours a day? Not as much. The batteries seem to be draining like crazy - I've been replacing them EVERY DAY. I'm glad my daughter stopped playing with it so much because while it's really cute and easy for her, it really doesn't sound good just swiping the…

Why did I do this to myself?

I love this article and hate it with every fiber of my being. I bought it for my boyfriend for our 5 year anniversary. I'm pretty sure I've been replaced by now. This face haunts him in his sleep, and the sounds call him to day. He plays it badly when he can, but he enjoys it so much that I can't stay mad for long. It brought some interesting cheer to our little apartment, and I'm pretty sure it was the reason our neighbors thankfully stayed away (win-win for me!). Heartbeat. Now if only I…

Nice but incredibly bad tool design.

Otamatoms are not suitable as real instruments. The notes played by the fretboard positions vary with battery levels and are not the same across models. A weekly model (this one) lets you change whole notes without moving your finger, making it impossible to play on the playing field. Qualitatively, all materials look like screenshots and videos. Good rubber with minimal permanent set. My model had the neck quite bent, I'm not sure if this is a common problem. It's a really nice product and I…
