Easy install, broken remote cable

Would have 4 stars if it didn't have a DOA remote cable. It was easy to install and does exactly what it's supposed to. It took some time to fix the signal before I discovered that the remote cable was bad. After replacing the cable everything was fine.

  • Cool product

Works perfectly as intended

New to reviewing products here so I've omitted thickness and warmth ratings as I have no idea why I'm rating those two things. As for the product, I used it to route the speaker signal from my factory subwoofer to my amp and it worked great as intended. The remote control comes in handy when you need to tweak the bass from the driver's seat for certain low-quality songs that might appear on the playlist.

Clear sound and easy to install

This linear converter works great and is easy to install. It is very versatile and can be used as a high or low level input converter. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the remote volume range. While it offers some damping, don't expect to have the full bandwidth of a factory de-stocked subwoofer. I ended up replacing my subwoofer with one with a full range remote and simply removed the LP7-2 remote. Everything sounds great.

I use this for a Dodge Journey.

Cool Stuff. I've been using it for about 4 months now and it works perfectly. The fact that I don't have to search for a remote start cable makes installing this thing easy. Highly recommend this in place of the PAC 5 which requires a remote turn on cable. Put it in a 2017 Dodge Journey with a crappy Uconnect system. And since I didn't want to spend more than $500 on a test kit to install an aftermarket head unit with preamp outputs, the LP7 was the next logical choice.

Good product suitable for power accessories

This lock works very well in my opinion. The only problem I have is that the gain slider doesn't seem to adjust much. This could be due to how I set the gain on the amplifier, although I haven't really played around with it much I would recommend that. I would also recommend using twisted pairs to connect the speaker level input. It helps reduce noise. I just used my drill, a vise and some different colored wires to twist them into color coded pairs, this worked great and I had absolutely no…

Awesome built-in volume control.

I had to buy one because my wife doesn't like bass and I really need bass in my music. At about ½ volume on this knob, my music sounded perfect. And when the woman was in the car, she could easily turn the bass down to a minimum. I will definitely be buying another one for a new car that includes my amp/subwoofer. The only downside is that there is no clearly visible indicator where the volume is set, so almost no direct light, good luck. I don't know if it's just my old man's eyes or a fact…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
