Good for the price. suitable for battery tester

Does not quite match the description. When the position is on, the counter is turned on sequentially. The switch does not switch back to the outputs as the description says.

Pros
  • Test clips are more conductive than conventional clips. It contains saw teeth that are more suitable for the battery electrode. For extra security, the tester is equipped with a switch that can be closed before plugging.
Cons
  • Only available in black

Switch Wired Wrong

The switch is connected incorrectly. I soldered the wires to the switch as shown in the picture to get it working properly. The goal is to have a switch position where current flows through the switch (without blowing the fuse in the meter) and a switch position where current flows through the meter (which allows current to be measured).

Pros
  • Kit includes: 1 spare fuse test lead, 12 automotive fuses, 1 white transparent storage box.
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Wrong wire connection

As Jonas and Ryan said, the switch is wired incorrectly. Connected this way, it will not protect your meter when it is first connected. It does not protect against the initial surge of power consumed by the car computer and other accessories. I'm going to wire my switch like they do. Otherwise it appears to be well built.

Pros
  • The battery tester consists of pure copper flexible wires. One end consists of pure copper insulated banana plugs for multimeters. At the other end are pure iron clamps. The overall shade of red and black is easily distinguishable.
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not properly connected. Nothing for professionals OR beginners.

As stated in a review below, they had to wire this themselves to make it work properly. I need a tester that I can remove from the car and turn off all computers. But this product is nothing more than an extension of my fuse meter. If I remove my meter from the test, the circuit breaks and I have to restart the test! No fun when modules take 30 minutes to time out. The quality of the wires and clips is in good condition, so I will redo the wires as in the review above and THEN it will be a good

Pros
  • The Battery Tester provides an easy way to connect a multimeter to your vehicle's electrical system to diagnose latent battery discharge. It also allows you to measure the voltage at various points in the vehicle during a drain test using standard test leads.
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This tester is not specifically listed by seller

Although the battery terminals are strong and durable, this device cannot bypass the ammeter to protect it when first connected to a high surge battery under test. It took me at least two weeks to understand failure mode. I had to order a competitor tester (Lisle 64970 Parasitic Drain Tester) to confirm the suspected problem. In fact, the competitor's tester performed as expected, protecting the ammeter during critical power surges that occur before the vehicle's modules go into sleep mode. I…

Pros
  • Stock replacement fuses protect gauges and testers when the vehicle has a high current source. Waterproof and secure when the lid is closed. Including 6 colors 12 fuses, voltage 32V, current 5-30A for your choice.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
