Not great below 40 degrees

Not as warm as I expected or hoped. At temperatures below 40 degrees, the fingers are still very cold. At 30-35 degrees, even riding with merino inner shoes under gloves didn't save the fingertips from frostbite and pain. They appear to be very well made, but I am disappointed with their cold weather performance.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can be damaged

The materials seem nice. They work Very small

Disappointing purchase. The materials seem nice. They are very small and since I'm unfortunately XXL anyway, I couldn't enlarge them. Maybe because of the compression, but they're not very warm at all. I bought a half price pair of Revain SealSkin gloves which are much better at catching, warmer and still waterproof.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No instructions

Nothing warmer. Cold Weather Gloves

I'm in the North East and travel year round. I had a 20 year old version of these gloves and always hated the 2x2 claw design. These gloves offer freedom for the index and middle fingers, which is very much appreciated when riding. But it must be very cold before I put this on. Anything over 20F and these gloves are too warm. Ideal for extreme weather conditions.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • I'm Worried

Good size gloves that are hard to find in large ones.

Nice size gloves, hard to find for big hands. They're large enough to be worn alone in temperatures between 20 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and lined when temperatures are cooler. The gloves fit the ends of my sleeves without hanging down my sleeves, making them easy to put on and take off without exposing my wrists.

  • New

Replacement for worn out amphibians

While I don't like the goofy neon accents, I'm very glad I can relax wearing these bad boys. I've had amphibians for 6 years and they're finally worn out. I've always liked warmth and miles of palms. They don't feel that thick in the fingers so I'm hoping they'll be good in sub-zero temperatures. So, 5 stars for fit and comfort, I'll check them out again in the middle of winter when I use them daily!

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Dull gear

ok but for legal colds you need pads + hand warmers.

Great gloves but definitely not for legal winter cycling (alone). My hands were cold while cycling in the wind below 30F. With hand warmers, the gloves are tolerable, but not much below 20F in windy conditions (unless you don't mind if your fingertips are cold). The average person needs at least a few guts underneath with hand warmers for winter cycling. The size was too big for my hands - I'm pretty average height, normal hands are 5'11,180.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing

These lobsters are the warmest gloves I've ever tried!

If you're looking for lobsters and warm warm gloves, then you've come to the right place. I've had several "deep" winter gloves like Assos and they are the warmest. These are essentially snowboard gloves now, but for me a split finger is better. I don't usually do lobsters because I only shift with my middle finger on my road bike, so sharing my index and middle finger on it is great! They're cool funky ones that don't go with anything and don't really have to be "big," but they're warm. And…

Serious winter driver? These are the gloves for you.

These are the warmest riding gloves I've ever owned. Driving in your mid-twenties and these gloves alone make your hands very hot. If you're near freezing, it's best to remove them as even a short 15 miles will make your hands sweat. Put in some earplugs and you can go to 0 without discomfort. The gloves are a bit big but it looks like you can wear the inserts. The outer fabric of these gloves keeps the wind out very well and the extra large cuff makes it easier to slip into the sleeves of the…

What can I say? They work as advertised!

I used the gloves on six wet Pacific Northwest rides, each lasting about 3 hours. I always came back with dry, warm hands. I bought these because I came back from a trip wearing Pearl Izumi windproof gloves with completely numb fingers after being in freezing rain for over 40 minutes. I was skeptical about warm and waterproof gloves but knew that if they didn't work as advertised, Revain would give me my money back. Luckily this wasn't necessary. These gloves work very well. I would advise…
