Very sturdy housing with minor issues

These 3/8" outlet housings are ideal for installing under the sink or at points of use. In my case, I bought a few pieces to use under the sink. The 8-inch connector is a good size that provides a decent connection between cases without being too big. Larger openings become more of a challenge to seal tightly. My sleeves don't leak except for the button. And that's really the only problem I have. The red "Pressure Release" button is actually useless as you can release the pressure by shuttingโ€ฆ

Proper installation of parts and tools helps or breaks

I love this filter housing - low initial cost, minimal maintenance, good flow rate for a sink and good quality. However, to do this you need to have the right tools and parts. Details matter. For filters - use the Pentek brand name for a suitable and quality filter - carbon block filter cartridge CBC-10, 9-3/4" x 2-7/8", 0.5 micron as the main seat followed by Either GAC -10- or Pentek CC-10 Carbon Drinking Water Filters with Coconut Activated Charcoal (9.75" x 2.875") produce noticeablyโ€ฆ

A little common sense ensures success!

I USED TWO OF THESE to build a two stage under sink water filtration system. ) The proprietary filters we had to buy are ridiculously expensive. and B) The last set of replacement filters leaked and ruined the inside of the sink cabinet and destroyed the wood composite floor in the kitchen which we had to completely replace with tile. It was the last straw! I won't brand this system, but the name includes the letters G and B. However, we used the included mixer in our DIY filter system. Iโ€ฆ

Works with compressed air at 120 PSI as a drying filter

I use a Pentek clear filter housing as a drying filter in a high pressure air system to remove moisture from the line when spraying paint. I chose this one for two reasons: clear plastic jar so I can tell if the desiccant needs replacing, and reasonable price. Contrary to what some suspect, the filter housing is rated at 125psi, which is stated on the manufacturer's website and in the documentation that came with the unit. I added a PVC tube down the middle of the bottle with a 40 micron airโ€ฆ

  • PRESSURE RELIEF BUTTON for easy cartridge changes

  • Long lead time

A little common sense ensures success!

I USED 2 OF THESE to build a dual stage water filtration system under the sink. I wanted to get rid of the standalone water filtration system under the sink that we had. for years because: A) The patented filters we had to buy are ridiculously expensive. and B) The last set of replacement filters leaked and ruined the inside of the sink cabinet and destroyed the wood composite floor in the kitchen which we had to completely replace with tile. It was the last straw! I won't brand this systemโ€ฆ
