Years ago I wet sanded the side of the boat that faced the sun, this year I wanted to wet sand the other side because it was very wet sandable for me. This product works better than I expected. First I sanded the whole boat with 2000 grit sandpaper. Then I started cutting 3M thick. After that I used 3M polish. It worked well. In some places I had to use multiple passes to get the same shine. This was due to heavy oxidation as the wax had never been applied in 25 years. Take your time with heavy cutting and wet sanding and polishing will be like clockwork! I even tried 3 different synthetic and ceramic waxes and none of them even came close…

Over the last 15 years I've used quite a few different compounds on my boat. This product stands head and shoulders above the rest. This made the white gelcoat brand new on my 2005 boat with minimal fuss. I used a 3M 33280 wool disc at about 1000 rpm and medium pressure.
