I was concerned that the glass might be damaged in transit. I am happy to report that everything is fine! The top of my aquarium is 48" x 15". So I think "absolutely" is a bit of an exaggeration. But it can be adapted to work. For the middle I made an island to fill the central gap. I'm going to cut off some extra plastic to add rear clearance. The plastic bezel on the back is difficult to attach. That is possible. But it's really difficult, which is typical from my experience with these things

Putting a strip of plastic on the glass is a real journey through all nine levels of HELL. No instructions as it seems to go without saying until you try the strips. I bought this glass canopy for my 55 gallon freshwater aquarium and use aquarium salt. The box contained 2 glass lids, 2 clear strips that can be cut to size, and 2 small sticky-backed pins to stick on. Based on previous experience with my previous canopy, a completely different MFG, Deep Blue Glass Canopy 48" x 13", where I had grip issues, I definitely added extra hydrophobic adhesive to the sticky underside of the grip than I did set it up for first use.
