Item was returned once, has a repairable defect

I've had this dog door before and it's good for our 40 degree temperatures in Northern Minnesota. It couldn't be nibbled on by my pup, it's not the door's fault but I had to order a new one. A new one came today, but not a new one. The box was clearly marked "Return" and the door was not assembled properly. I'll keep it because it can be repaired through reassembly, but it's hardly like Revain.

Game change for the cold winter

We live in Minnesota and we have 3 large dogs. Therefore, we need a dog door strong enough to withstand a large flow of people and temperatures of -30 degrees below zero. The wind plowed open our model with a door. So we decided to switch to this 3-door model. What has changed in the game! The dogs got used to the extra effort required to open the lid multiple times, but it didn't matter much. The best part is that it's heavy enough to stay closed even in winter winds. An installation tip: the…

Best Buy in Cat Doors

I am very happy with this product. I have a 5 month old Husky puppy. He's potty trained, but as you all furry moms know, they need us when they're so small that we take them out to poop at least once a night. Well, I've struggled because being a full-time worker, I've sometimes gotten so tired from my long shifts that I'll just sleep through the night and my pup will poop inside out because of his own fault, but it was annoying. Bought in bulk as my puppy is growing. My brother installed it and

I can recommend it. Cat Doors, Railings & Stairs

Purchased Extremely Weatherproof Door (garage exterior door) and Pet Safe Freedom Aluminum Pet Door (laundry to garage). Both have excellent and clear instructions. They are well made and fit well. And you have a panel that you can slide or snap in (depending on the door) when you want to block them. I was a little worried about the nylon screws but they didn't come loose. I cut off the head of one of the liberty doors for overtightening, but I called PetSafe and they sent a replacement. Highly

The installation is not for wimps and not for cold regions.

Unless you have a standard exterior door, installing this thing is a nightmare. The instructions are less than desirable and the plastic bolts were not a good design idea. However, it protects against the effects of the weather, and my cats are very reluctant to go outside because of the dark central valve. I would suggest using a transparent material so the cats can see what's on the other side. I've spent most of the last two days convincing them that they can hop on and off. In our weather…

I replaced my old PetSafe single door dog door and wish I had done it a long time ago. The previous valve had a habit of not fully closing, essentially creating a wind tunnel in my house and making the air conditioning work harder than it should. I live in a relatively mild climate, but I was struck by the difference. I was never happy with the plumbing work done by the previous homeowner but didn't know how to fix the problem. I bought this door because the footprint was almost identical to…

Can I give this a ZERO?

Today my wife and I wasted our whole Sunday destroying a beautiful door and I am very angry. Why? This dog door came with instructions and a 'template' to cut out part of the door to install the dog door. There's also a tutorial video online that we watched a few times before we started. On the instructions page, the template shows the exact dimensions that need to be cut into your door. We measured our dogs, measured the door, and cut the door to fit the dog door. When we attached the door to…
