I bought a cool artistic TP holder and it came with a bright white plastic spindle which was really distracting. So this replacement works well - it's black so it doesn't stand out, that's the point. It looks a lot better. Not much to say about the replacement spindle, but this one is good and strong. Some of them fall apart every time you take them off to replace a roll, but this holds together beautifully and is a perfectly reasonable price.

While not the most aesthetically pleasing product, it works great. After trying to find a metal replacement for our nickel reel seat, I finally had to buy the plastic version. Reason for three stars instead of five: 1. The plastic surface is matte and doesn't even come close to the matte black surface of our metal frame.2. The thing is too expensive.
