Lightweight putty for glue joints

Haven't tried the remover but the putty is excellent. My friend lent it to me to do my bathroom. Wow! Get ready to cut off the small ends from the tube. This tool is just awesome!

Works good, fingers are better

This works great and I'm glad I have it, but I ended up having to use my fingers to smooth the seal. It was best for scraping when I got sloppy.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Don't waste your time or money.

Complete crap! Silicone didn't stray from any surface, just cut a line down the middle. The plastic edge rolled off in a few passes, rendering the tool almost unusable. I get the best results with a metal blade.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Something different

Works well on self-adhesive caulk

It's gentle on surfaces but has a sharp plastic tip that does a good job of removing old caulk. The app tool works pretty well. These may not be the most important tools, but they have made my bathroom and kitchen caulking job faster and easier.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Facilitates the application of sealant to the van. excavations.

Makes sealing the motorhome easier. Scoops the sealant out of the seam, then helps maintain a smooth line. Wouldn't buy it for a small job, but caulking an entire RV is a different story. Costs money and saves a lot of work.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Useless features

One tool was fine, the other was horrible

The caulk remover tool only worked on about 4 feet of caulk before becoming so dull it became unusable. I had to resort to single-edged blades, which I was hoping to avoid for fear of scratching the countertop. The finisher has a fairly large radius, making it not ideal for caulking countertops, but it worked to remove excess caulk along the edge. You still have to smooth with your finger, but the tool will help you get consistent results. I'm not sure if you can just buy a finisher.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Good but not so good with sealer

The sealer I removed was about 3 years old so not too old. The removal tool was not very effective. I ended up using a flat razor for 90% of the work. The sealing tool was great and worked as it should. I give the Remover Tool 0 stars and 5 finish.

Pros
  • 2 sets of sealer tools for inside and outside
Cons
  • Something else

Plastic Sealant Scraper Blade

We had to remove a very tough, tacky sealant. When we received this kit I saw that the removal scraper was plastic. I didn't think it would be up to the task so I sent it back. Maybe it would have worked, but I didn't think of it and didn't want to take it out of the box to find out.

Pros
  • Includes sealant remover and finishing tool
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The smooth tool is good, the removal tool is useless.

I agree with the reviewers who liked the smoothing tool but found the remover useless. The removal tool is all plastic and too weak to be effective. All its surfaces quickly faded. The utility blade was much more effective. The rubber smoothing tool worked very well and I would happily purchase it separately.

Pros
  • Ideal for use in showers, windows, paneling, sinks and bathtubs with latex, silicone or acrylic sealers
Cons
  • Damaged
