The album looks good and although it is intended as a photo album I use it as a scrapbook. I found it a bit difficult to use the metal screws that hold the pages securely in the album otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

The only thing I really don't like is that there is a flap made of hard shell material on the inside of the two lids where the spacer screws are fold over to cover the screw heads. When you open the album, these flaps open and prevent the book from closing completely. You must open the cover, fold and hold the flaps to close the book. It really hurts but I hope they stay folded after some use.

I used this for a recent event and admittedly filled it out, and then a few others. The extensions that come with album pages really encourage adding more pages. I needed a coin to tighten the screws on the expanders and it was often difficult to align and put the sides together. But then I added 260 pages to the album, which perhaps highlights its use. The leather case is slightly torn. But the family enjoyed reading about their genealogy in this eye-catching red scrapbook.
