Good but write speed is slower than advertised

The double sided design sets it apart from most other flash drives. The body is metal and strong, but the flip end caps tilt a bit and interfere with insertion. They are held in place with a magnet on the USB-A side and a small clamping ball on the USB-C side. Tested on 10Gbps and 5Gbps ports with M1 Mac and CalDigit TS3 Dock. The declared read/write speeds are 520MB/s/450MB/s. In practice, when using a 10Gb/s port, the read speeds were very similar (mostly around 510MB/s), but the write speeds

Built like a tank but false claim about transfer speed?

PRO AND CONS1. By the title I mean this 2 3.4 inch long device is made of metal and it looks like it's even bulletproof. Although sold as a 256GB drive, the available storage space is actually 238GB3. As a test, I copied 2 GB from my Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 250 GB SSD desktop PC to MOVESPEED. Transmission time: 73 seconds. This is less than 5% of the speed stated in this product description. I then ran a second test by moving the same 2GB to a 128GB MicroSD card installed in a USB 3.0 adapter:

Pros
  • Superior design

Very nice and well-designed portable flash drive

I am satisfied with it < External SSD 256 GB, MOVESPEED USB 3.2 Type C and Type A Ultra Dual SSD, Portable Mini SSD, speed up to 520 MB/s for smartphones Mac Windows Android Linux Games > [ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098QGGBMV?th=1 ] It has the same good construction as any other portable flash drive I own (including some Corsairs). It transfers folders and files very quickly, probably faster than any other similar drive I own (although it's really difficult, if not impossible, to

Great, acceptable speed

Initial review September 21, 2021 The first thing I do when I get a USB flash drive is the read/write speed. The package does not list potential read/write speeds. The Revain website says up to 500 MB/s. My tests with CrystalDiskMark show a read speed of 446 MB/s and a write speed of 414 MB/s. "Up to" is probably achievable, but over 400 MB/s is acceptable in my use cases. It's great to have a USB 3 port and a USB-C port. The physical design of this flash drive is good, but it won't. There are…

Hot is an understatement

I don't know what they did with it but it's awfully hot. For example, you could burn your fingers if you're not careful. I wanted to test it properly, so I got a long copy (110GB). It ran at full speed (380MB/s) for a while before slowing down. In the end, a copy error occurred and the drive spontaneously disconnected. When I tried to plug it back in, that is, physically unplug it and plug it back in, I nearly burned my fingers. After reconnecting (everything was fine, no bad blocks) I measured

New Generation Laptop/Chromebook? You will probably need one of these.

Next-gen laptops and Chromebooks are standardized for USB-C (although there are multiple protocols for the form factor). This USB drive runs at almost the advertised speed of 3.2, but the real point is having both USB-C and USB-A. The real question is whether or not to buy the 1TB model. However, this depends on your use cases. 265 GB is also a lot. Movespeed's quality claims are impressive but impossible to verify. I can only say that this review was a positive experience. By the way, the need

Nice design, cheap and fast, but typing speed drops after half full.

If you're transferring large files and want a portable option, a fast USB SSD offers fast transfer speeds. USB SSD MOVE SPEED 256GB has a beautiful metal body with a very nice metal design. It has USB Type-A and USB Type-C interfaces, so it can be used with many devices without an adapter. It is very compact and fits in your pocket or laptop bag. The 256GB MOVE SPEED USB SSD achieved a maximum read speed of 550MB/s and a maximum write speed of 440MB/s in ATTO Disk Benchmark and 550MB/s in read.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Not as fast as advertised but durable and has a USB-C connector

This MOVESPEED USB 3.2 Type C and Type A Ultra Dual 256GB SSD isn't that fast in my experience, but it is incredibly durable and it has a USB-C connector. This drive is about the size of most flash drives, but has a heavy metal case with metal slotted hinged covers. I really like the flip covers because they are attached and don't get lost. There is a standard USB connector on one end and a USB-C connector on the other. I really like this because my laptop has a USB-C port, freeing up standard…
