💰 Prextex Electronic Pretend Register Kit Review

I gave this product to my 4 year old daughter for Christmas and it is definitely her favorite gift! She enjoys playing "Shop" with random household items and pretending to take money and give change, so we had an inkling that she would like to use play money, and small groceries are a fun thing for her. The scanner beeps like a real scanner and the speaker works too! She loves making announcements to her customers! Highly recommended!

I bought this for my 4 year old granddaughter whose cash register broke. She loves to play shopping and I hated to see her sad. She chose it based on a photo and she and her 8 year old sister loved it. Especially the microphone and the credit card. The only disappointment was the size as other play money didn't fit inside. This is too little. Also, she is old enough to believe it is a children's toy based on the size of the products.

I bought it as a gift for grandchildren of different ages who like to play restaurant and grocery store aged 3-8 years old. The calculator works great. What the key is for is unclear. The drawer is not locked. The microphone is a great idea, but it's too quiet. The food boxes included in the package must be plastic and not paper. This cash register is so cute and has so many cute features. Unfortunately, I had to return it for another because, as other reviewers have pointed out, the mic screamed when the button was pressed. (I couldn't do that with my brother-in-law and daughter-in-law, parents of an adopted toddler lol). There was a note saying it shouldn't be placed near a wall, but a few feet from the wall and next to a chair leg. My daughter was so happy with this gift and loved playing with this little toy register but then I made the mistake of putting batteries in because now it makes a TERRIBLE high pitched noise every time. She tries to use the microphone. It doesn't matter how the button is pressed, where we have the register or how it is located. Everything works great and there is a real calculator in the registry. The microphone was particularly cool, along with all the beeps when scanning items and even the little red LED in the scanner. Our daughter loves to play with all the functions. I think it will be great too as later on she will learn how to add and subtract and make adjustments as she also has play money. I then suggested that she buy a cash register and/or fake groceries so she could understand money better, and she liked the idea.
