Porcelain shavings in power tools

This blade cuts porcelain perfectly, but don't expect a splinter-free edge. The only reason I bought this knife was that it needed to cut porcelain without chipping. The chips are the same as any other blade I've tried.

Pros
  • a handy item
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Great Slate Tile Blade

THIS IS A BLADE! I tried five different types of tile diamond discs, with and without slots, burrs, etc. Black Widow is by far the best and most reliable zero emission drive on the market. I cut 1-1/4" thick slate tile with a wet cut.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Poor quality: blades, parts and accessories

I used the blade on my wet saw for about two days, it cut great at first, but then it started to chip, bind and generally very poor performance. I put on my old blade and it surpassed the Black Widow. I would not recommend this blade.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive

About saw blades, parts and accessories

I have a Ryobi wet saw where the blade enters the tile from below. This blade caused such ridiculous chips that I threw it away after the second tile. I don't know if this works better with machines that cut from above, but stay away if you have a wet table saw. No amount of water will give you a remotely clean cut.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Modern

I'm not impressed with diamond blades

I read the reviews on this blade and based on the positive reviews I decided to buy it. I used a porcelain stoneware blade in a very small 50 square meter bathroom. ft. The blade didn't even go through 25 tiles before it started chipping the tile significantly. I then bought a less expensive $17 EAP blade which I have now used to tile two other bathrooms and the cuts were very clean.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

The blade generally works well, but sometimes it just can't make a clean cut without chipping. No matter how slowly or how tightly I held the tile, the edges kept chipping. I ended up cutting a lot of tiles backwards to make sure the broken off part was on top of the discarded piece, but for the price I felt the blade held up.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So-so

Premium price, average performance

I don't think this blade was any better than the one that originally came with my cobalt wet tile saw. Cut normally, but not very long. It didn't cut any better or worse than the original cobalt blade and lasted about as long or maybe even less than the same time as the original blade. I only rate it good because it costs a bit more, but the performance isn't premium.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Available in white only

Worked very well for a while.

I bought this blade to finish a fairly large tile job that I started with another blade. The first blade I used came with my tile cutter and has already found a use. When I first started using this blade, the difference between it and the original blade was huge. It cut smooth and straight and required significantly less effort to feed the tiles. Towards the end of the job I noticed that the blade wasn't cutting like it did when it was first installed. It was still better than the original…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Minor issues
