very good NAS at a good price

This was very easy to set up considering I messed it up the first time, but it was easy to reconfigure. You have to search a bit for some options/settings, although the GUI is nice but not that intuitive. Upload some YouTube videos for a few things. annoying that it has 4-2.5" SSD/drive slots, but you can only have up to 1TB as high-speed cache.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Wireless Interference in a Non-Wireless NAS

Drive Bay 6 keeps throwing read access errors despite being empty. Technical support insists on wireless interference caused by nearby devices. This NAS is not wireless and is actually hardwired to my network. I can't think of a scenario where another wireless device would boot up a non-wireless device to throw read access errors. Also, everything works as intended. This is very suspicious, to say the least. And apparently I'm not the only one with this problem.

Pros
  • Rugged Design
Cons
  • Long Term

Great product: Devices

I absolutely love this NAS. I now have the ability to disconnect all my external hard drives from my laptops and plug my 10GBE switch into this incredible machine, I'm talking 4k video editing with no hiccups. 21+ terabytes of storage. WOW! i love this car Ouch! Mentions that TS-932PX is in another room. No hiccups, folks. If you're on the fence about getting it? Come on, take the jump. You will not regret it. I haven't figured out the mobile app yet.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Compact 9-drive NAS

Most people who are looking for a 9-drive NAS probably already have experience with NAS and its practical application. The big advantage is that 9 panels take up the same area as a 5-panel block. If you are familiar with qnap, they use the same interface on all their network drives. Pros: Great compact form factor Supports SSD cache Very easy to plug and play Many applications Works with remote, local and other NAS storage Cons: Uses only traditional RAID. No hybrid support

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Poor package

bad UI and bad write speed,

Great article but UI sucks. looks like Windows XP again. Read speed is good but CPU slows down at write speed with RAID 6. Only 1TB cache drive MAX! If you have a lot of hot dates, this won't work. 10 GB connections are good. If the 10GB port is T-type, it will be much better. If you don't have a lot of files to write and don't need a lot of cache and also don't care about the user interface, this is the right choice for you. To return.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • no car

Wireless Interference on a Non-Wireless NAS

Drive Bay 6 keeps throwing read access errors even though it's empty. Technical support insists that radio interference is being caused by nearby devices. This NAS is not wireless, it is permanently connected to my network. I can't think of a scenario where another wireless device would boot up a non-wireless device to throw read access errors. Otherwise everything works as intended. This is highly suspicious, to say the least. And apparently I'm not the only one with this problem.

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Exorbitant Price

Great NAS if you don't want to run virtual machines

I bought as a gas to use with my m1 Mac mini. Both devices have 10 GB and are connected to a Cisco switch. The NAS works great with all the devices in my house. I started with 5 disks and later added 3 more and expanded the array with no data loss. I also added an SSD cache using qtier. This device backs up my Time Machine, hosts files for my media server, and captures my security cameras. this is my 4th QNAP, everything is great.

Pros
  • devices
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Overall: A powerful NAS setup with many drive bays that can be upgraded over time. Don't forget to use your NAS hard drives for hard drive longevity: Set up Plex quickly and also take a look at the Plex plugin. Finding it requires a lot of digging into the device's filesystem, or there's an unofficial app that provides the location of the Plex apps instead of using ssh to find it. Why all that? There are many great plugins like HAMA DB that classify/tag anime correctly, tvdb has many problems…
