YOU MUST HAVE ONE PACK EACH SIDE

This is GREAT. BUT YOU MUST HAVE ONE SET PER SIDE. So I built a deck and needed 2 boxes for EACH RAILS SET. They look GREAT, but wow, a big deck gets expensive!

Pros
  • Decking and Railing
Cons
  • Protection

Love the look but be prepared to pay dearly for it.

I like the look of this railing but it is very expensive for the price. Installation was easy. The cable was difficult to cut without fraying. Make sure you have the right tools.

Great product for the price

Great product for the price. Ease of installation. There's a slight learning curve on how to do this exactly the first time. After that it's easy. When you're done about a week later, you'll have to readjust to tighten it again. You just have to make sure that the lock nuts are not tightened too much. You can pull the threads off if they are too tight. I've also found that if I cut the wire with tape on it, exposing the wire can easily result in a sheathed wire.

Pros
  • Building materials
Cons
  • Everything is fine

I don't know, maybe it's the smaller cable.

I don't know if the cable is too small or if the compression fittings are junk, but it doesn't work either way. The compression fittings are designed for 1/8 inch stainless steel cable and do not hold the cable at all; the cable pulls out with minimal effort. - Okay, nowhere online or on the box says they are for 5/32" cable instead of the standard 1/8" cable. They work great if you have the right size cable. I changed my rating from one to three stars after using the correct cable. It would…

Not just for railings.

These amazing things. Instead of using them as railings, I used them to hang open shelves in my kitchen. (Make sure you find the bolts, or use an overhead lock). They have a slightly industrial look that doesn't look too trendy. If you don't have bolts where to land, it's possible to go through the drywall and attach them to the attic, but you'll need to find a few tiny protrusions to plug the hole. Be sure to purchase the included cord and cord cutter for $29. Using anything else will wear out
