Good looking light guards.

Installed these on my LiveJournal. They look great but are a bit bulky. However, it's not that bad. I would consider adding a strap to the tailgate as when it opens it just breaks the sunscreen and leaves a few scratches on them. However, they look good and offer additional protection from limbs, carts and other hazards.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell

2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport (TJ)

Looks good and is of good quality. Easy installation. What you should note is that they have a left side and a right side. Important as they are not marked. One side is slightly curved towards the jeep. It's not quite as obvious when installing, so you have to pay attention. Instructions are not included. Good product. You look good.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Don't waste your time or money.

Whoever designed these guards at Rampage should be fired! Instead of sliding the protective cover over the body of the flashlight from below, it doesn't fit. They require you to insert the existing housing from the top, which means you have to disconnect from the wiring harness! What a disappointment! NOT EASY OR QUICK REPLACEMENT! Because of this thoughtless design, I will avoid Rampage products in the future whenever possible.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Looks good: lights and lighting accessories

The only drawback was that there were no instructions. But there are three screws that come off the real taillight inside, and then if you get under your jeep and remove the rear rubber fender, you'll find the taillight connector hidden inside your jeep. Simply unplug and then install the headlights. All I did was find a YouTube video on how to do it. But otherwise it took me about 30 minutes. Oh, these look great.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Negative impression

Almost perfect for lighting and lighting accessories

After doing a lot of research on light shields for my 95 YJ I settled on the Rampage. The fit was flawless and the included hardware fitted well. The only problem is that the spare tire no longer hits the tire's lug, it now hits the wheel guard. I am sure that a strong hit of the hoop will injure the guards. I don't think it will be a problem, but with my children anything is possible. I'm planning to install minion loops and a door strap on the tailgate and door just to be on the safe side…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Disappear

Looks phenomenal.: Lightweight Cases

After not making any cosmetic updates to my Wrangler for about a year, I finally decided to give it a makeover. This was my first purchase and I couldn't be happier. They look great and provide ample protection for the taillights. Installation took about 30 minutes and there were no hiccups. First you need to remove the taillight cover, then take out the real bulbs so you can put the protector on, then reconnect the bulb, reattach the cover and cantilever, done. (In hindsight, be careful to…

Good product, does not fit 2001 Wrangler or European style bulbs

I bought these to match my 2001 Wrangler with Rampage European style taillights. Although they say they are suitable, I do not recommend them for this use. 1) The bulb doesn't actually fit a 2001 Wrangler. The back plate has a crease for an angle that doesn't match this case at all and keeps the light off the case a bit. Yes, you can fill the gap with silicone and it looks great. 2) You should have a lot of time and patience with European style taillights. After inserting the silver plastic…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Easy to install, it all depends. . .

First of all these are very nice cases that look good. However, it seems to be taking much longer than I expected to install them. And remember there are right and left covers, be sure to install them on the right side. The difference between the two is the very low flex of the back panel. Therefore, to install it, you must disconnect the light from the wiring harness in order to pass the connector through the hole in the back panel. The connector for the headlights is located in the body…

Pros
  • Great design

  • Poorly thought out
