I've been using these for a while now and they work great on a variety of mediums and surfaces. Originally designed for use with emergency inks, they are now used with many inks as well as new emergency inks. For those of you who have had trouble removing foam from them in the past, they now attach velcro to wood to make the process easier.

Works with foam mixing pads. The tool has a Velcro strap that is held in place with clips. So when you change pads, I worry about the pad coming off the tool. I try to be careful when replacing the foam pads because I don't want to ruin the velcro. Also, it works really well and I love working with maps and it's a necessary tool to get the best results.

Ranger makes amazing products. It amazes me that something so simple can open the door to a world of great possibilities. I use this with emergency and alcohol inks and have created cards that are stunning. People are always impressed, they hardly know how easy it was to create cards! My advice for this tool is to stick to the basics and NOT the bargain when mixing/adding color. This way you have more control.

I love how this product works! The effect it creates on my cards is amazing. It happened exactly as I had hoped. The only issue I had was that the velcro on the tool itself was poorly taped so changing the pad on it was a pain. I'm not sure if that's the case with all of them, or maybe it was the seller I got this from. But still, it's a little frustrating when the whole Velcro tries to come loose every time. In addition, the product does exactly what it promises!
