First, check how much space you have in the fuse box.

It was a reasonable price for what it was designed for. Unfortunately another relay near where this one was plugged in caused it to fall out. The pin end of the connector was too big for my HHR.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Was damaged

Easy to Install: Car Electronics Accessory

This fuse bypass is great - no more pulling fuses before towing! One end is inserted where the fuse will be removed, the fuse is inserted near the other end, and the switch is carefully installed in the fuse box door. Very good!

I'm glad to have installed it.

Build quality and functionality is good. The installation instructions were followed. I had no trouble inserting the tabs into the fuse box that others had. I think using needle nose pliers solved the problem. The package now includes a fuse socket adapter, but I didn't have to use it. Installed on a 2004 Honda CRV. Working under a car's dash is never fun, but the hassle outweighs the inconvenience of removing and reinstalling the fuse every time you prepare to tow and drive.

Bought and fitted to my 2014 CRV. This requires patience. As everyone says it's about 3 inches. in short, to be an easy install. I ended up putting the traction switch in the middle position and using the outboard position for the switch. It took me about 20 minutes of fiddling with it to hook it up to the switch on the dash. Also, it's a little tricky to connect the ends to the fuse box. If I had to do it all over again I would use the fuse extension method and add 5" of cable so there is…

Make sure you can use this

Make sure you can use this. I installed this on a 2007 Honda CRV for towing. The owner's manual states that a specific fuse must be pulled when towing to prevent the battery from draining. This fuse is almost inaccessible, so the Fusemaster was a great (albeit expensive) concept. The installation instructions were fine, but real-world availability meant I couldn't fit the locknut onto the derailleur shaft. The hold I drilled was tight enough, but that was fine. It does exactly what it says on…

  • Some cons

This review is only for a 2014 Honda CR-V: I decided to fit a fusemaster switch in the black panel blank to the left of the steering column. I wasn't sure what was behind that panel, so I removed it before drilling the 3/4" hole. It would be better to leave it where it is. And not too deep. , and on There was a lot of plastic construction on the back of the flat panel that had to be removed with a file, the ring nut wasn't needed by the way, the switch just twisted tight. To access this panel…
