Perfect for what it is

It was exactly what I was looking for - big, warm and compact for hiking. Unlike many other reviewers, I didn't notice any strong odors, and I'm quite sensitive to smells; Maybe from another provider or something? In any case, it fully meets my requirements. It's not the softest blanket I've had, that's for sure, but it's clearly made for camping or survival rather than everyday use, so it's fine if you're looking for a blanket for your bed at home. or something like that, you might want toโ€ฆ

Keeps you warm, good for bedding

Received this duvet as a recommendation from Survival Tips to check for prep/error requirements. Anyway, I got this for my car in an emergency and didn't have to wait long to check it out (in a good way). I went to Idyllwild and camped in my tent trailer. It was about 28 degrees at night and let me just say. I'm glad I had this blanket with me for the trip. Even though it's made of wool, it's still very comfortable to sleep in. It doesn't have that itchy, woolly feel and is fairly lightweightโ€ฆ

As versatile as a Swiss Army knife, no bad smell, just wool

No smell of petrol, just a good old wool blanket. Too thin for hiking in temperatures below 50 degrees without a sleeping bag, but it served great: extra insulation in my sleeping bag between me and the ground, raincoat to protect against sunlight (no sunscreen needed), flies and mosquitoes, pillow, cape to keep the to keep morning/evening chills out, padding to keep my shoulders comfortable when the backpack straps started turning red like a raincoat to protect me from the rain falling fromโ€ฆ

Good Cloak Blanket

This blanket was the perfect medieval cloak for period costumes. I wanted something that looked like real wool at an affordable price and this blanket was a great choice. The size is good and the color is nice. Although this blanket stinks a bit. I have machine washed and air dried. There was a lot of fluff from the duvet but I was expecting this having read other reviews of this duvet. I just raked the lint out of my car and brushed the ceiling off the kitchen tile to sweep up the loose lintโ€ฆ

Looks like a great duvet

I hesitate to comment further as I have not really used the duvet. I will edit the review if I use it though. So far I am very happy with the blanket. I plan to sleep in a hammock sometimes when I go camping and have been concerned about not having a blanket for a while. This was the reason for this purchase. I also wanted to make sure I had one long enough to cover my entire body. At 80 inches long, this should work, plus a little (I like tucking the bottoms of blankets under my feet when it's
