Optimized Safety: High Door Lock by Safety 1st Review

This allowed the door to open a little which is fine but the door was able to open further than it should. It says it opens 2 inches but opens 4 inches. A child can easily get stuck in a large opening. Now I have holes on the door and door frame from a defective product.

Installed this on our garage door. As mentioned in the previous review, he pulled open the door. I even asked my husband to anchor it but to no avail. Trouble is, you forget he's there because he's at the door. A few puffs and he moves out. I am currently looking for something new. I really wanted this to work!

I was looking for a security that would not allow our baby to open the door to the basement and lock itself. It worked perfectly and also stopped him from closing the door with his fingers. Just make sure the door is in the natural position when closed when installed. Pushing or pulling the door while marking it can result in it not closing 100% of the time. Easily opens from the other side of the door.

We needed a lock that could be opened on both sides for our cellar door, so that the door remained completely closed and our 2-year-old had no chance to open it. Our house is ten years old and has good new doors. This door lock requires you to put two screws in the door and one screw in the door gap. Two screws ripped off the door after just two days!
