You know what they say, just choose the shoes you feel comfortable in. As a 200+ pound flat tire racer (non-elite), I have experience flat tire racing. Asics DS Racers and Nike Lunaracers were my PR shoes. Both went. Then they say that the Fastwitch is the last flat for stability racing. You feel amazing! Can't wait to try them on my first 5K or speed workout.

Bought specifically for 5k and 10k races. They are fantastically light! Feels like there is no shoe on the foot, but it is there and provides comfort when running. I pronate and these shoes don't hurt my feet at all. would recommend.

Light, responsive and with good support. Very fast shoes. I don't like running shoes at all. The shoes feel too heavy and slow. not really. The heel drop is not that big. I usually run 2-4 miles in these shoes. It looks like a great shoe for 5K. The only downside for me is that the laces have to be tied twice. Laces with undone if not.
