    Type of review

70 days after purchasing a Dell laptop that had this drive, received the following warnings in Crystal Disk Info: Current Pending Sector Count: 18 Uncorrectable Sector Count: 18 When restarting the laptop and running the self-test, the disk test was aborted due to an error. HDDScan showed thousands of bad blocks. Seagate SeaTools also stated that the drive failed testing. I'm going to take / change under warranty. I do not recommend buying.

    Pros
    • I haven't been able to see the benefits.
    Cons
    • Noisy / squeaks quite noticeably

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

To be honest, looking at the many negative reviews, I'm confused. The disk has been working as a regular in the Asus GL553VD Strix laptop for the 3rd year already - the second disk in the system for the file. Under the system, a regular SSD is used. I didn’t particularly load it with games - for this there is a third disk in the system, SSD. The laptop occasionally travels on the route "home-work-home". During transportation, it is cut off completely (through the "completion of Windows"). All…

    Pros
    • Capacious buffer memory (128 MB). Actual drive capacity for 2022 (1000 GB). Almost does not heat up. Doesn't make noise.
    Cons
    • Frequent parking (default). Sequential copy speeds up to 100MB/s. When exiting the parking mode, it emits the characteristic sounds of clicking and accelerating the pancake, barely audible, but unusual, they are alarming.

Unreliable, slow and very noisy hard drive. I do not recommend taking. It makes sense to store information on it only that which is not a pity to lose or that which is backed up, for example, to the cloud. With its pros: Supplied with Lenovo ideapad 310-15IKB laptop. Went as the main hard drive. Got cons: Supplied with Lenovo ideapad 310-15IKB laptop. Went as the main hard drive.

Not the best quality, but generally not bad.

It feels like he's going to die soon, but he's not dead. The laptop has long turned into a desktop and has not moved anywhere for more than 2 years. So the hard did not experience shaking and shock. Got pros: It's better not to take anything than this disc. Although after 5 months he was rehabilitated. Has cons: Noisy heads like a disk from the 90s. I was surprised =) if you do not look at the laptop, it feels like Panasonic with a second stump and a 10 gig hard drive. But over time, this…

Disgusting, not happy with the purchase.

It fell apart after 1.5 years. At first I could not understand the strange behavior of this hdd, and when I drove it away with the wiki, I was horrified to find that it was not suitable for use at all. The disk just fell down and, judging by the reviews, this is their illness.

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

I bought to replace the seagate - samsung st1000lm014, I don’t remember exactly, which suddenly covered itself. Happy as an elephant! I didn’t measure the temperature, I didn’t check the broken sectors, but I’ll check it. Unlike the previous one, with a double surname, it does not click, which was annoying.

    Lame product and terrible quality.

Segate be damned. In my personal cemetery, this is already the 4th disc from this manufacturer. He himself has long put an end to manufacturers, but they are still often set by default.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

I will never repeat this purchase.

I bought a laptop in the valuable range up to 50 thousand. Hanging and gnashing of heads from the moment of the first launch, Windows installation is long, constant workload up to 100%. but not so fast.

    Second-rate goods, I won't buy any more.

A very unreliable disk, it broke abruptly, taking away all the data. This disc was in the format of a portable disc. Unfortunately, there is no more trust in this brand - the quality has dropped significantly.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Some pros: Apparently I was lucky or seagate is working on bugs. I have no problems with the disk. It works quietly, there is Windows on it, the flight is normal, it has been in operation for a year. Cons below: While only the reviews are alarming, I do not know what to expect.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

Disgusting, will never recomend it for anybody!

To restore the information, I had to pay 15,000 + buy a new disk. Seagate is the most unreliable manufacturer of hard drives, and it used to be different. And now, out of five dead disks, four Seagates, both large and small, are collected in a pile in the cemetery of computer trash.

Terrible quality, disappointed with the purchase.

Inserted into a basic ASUS laptop. Very infrequently employed. Despite the fact that the pancakes twist and move their heads when turned on, its fate was undetermined a year later. The SMART problem was recorded by the antiquated HP laptop, but the cause could not be found in the BIOS. While I haven't made any purchases from them in quite some time, I do think you should.

Just a terrible product, very upset.

Stood in a simple ASUS laptop. Rarely used and sparingly. Exactly one year later, it ceased to be determined, although when turned on, the pancakes twist and move their heads. The old HP laptop wrote a SMART error, but also did not determine it in the BIOS. I haven't purchased from this company in a long time and would highly recommend.

Nightmarish quality and complete inconsistency with the description.

    Two such disks were in Asus monoblocks. In the task manager, the constant loading of the disk at 100%. Everything slows down. In absolute silence, it interrupts the noise from the cooling system of the monoblock. Here is the discmark result: Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 83.675 MB/s Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 71.564 MB/s Random Read 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 0.728 MB/s [ 177.7 IOPS] Random Write 4KiB (Q= 8,T= 8) : 0.697 MB/s [ 170.2 IOPS] Random Read 4KiB (Q= 32,T= 1) : 0.747 MB/s [ 182.4 IOPS]…

It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

I bought a laptop - hp with this hard drive, quite expensive, and did not bother to look at the manufacturer of the hard drive, in the expectation that the components should be (as I assumed) at a good level. If you find this disk model in your car, transfer everything more or less important from there: when restoring data, you will get into the money. I would like to add swear words to the manufacturer, but moderation will not let this pass.

    Pros
    • Didn't reveal.
    Cons
    • Started making noise after 6 months, like a cooler at medium speeds. Died a year later.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

A terrible purchase, I sympathize with everyone who bought it.

I was on a regular basis in a far from the cheapest laptop from HP, after a while it began to blunt the laptop, ran hard diagnostics and it turned out that it had a very slow read / write speed, and most importantly, a very long access time (600ms versus normal 20-50). I tried to carry out low-level formatting in the hope of fixing it, but after that he refused to work in principle. Slag.

Great product, a pleasure to use.

I bought it in a laptop as a second disk (after SSD) for file cleaning. In my area, the Internet is slow, any streaming is difficult, so it is more convenient to download content in advance. For these purposes (low price and noise, decent volume) it fits very well. The lack of write speed is compensated by the OS caching in RAM, similar to re-reading, so I don’t see the point in a hybrid drive for file cleaning. Among the competing manufacturers there are no models with adequate…

    Pros
    • Modern HDD with low noise level, large cache, small thickness. Of course, there is noise, but moderate-monotonous, without particularly highlighted clicks or crackles.
    Cons
    • Not suitable as a disk for the OS (which is logical in principle, in principle, only very patient people can use any HDD as a system disk now). It often stops when working in a laptop (when the disk is not in use), which most likely leads to accelerated wear; proprietary utilities cannot disable this.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

It’s perfect in a laptop for 90k, a good size, if you buy separately I don’t even know, in 2022 it’s time to look towards ssd, but if speed is not important to you, but volume is important, then you can take it. Attached are my test results. In use for 3 years from the date of purchase of the laptop + there are still a lot of files on it and most likely it is worth going through it with a defragmenter.

    Pros
    • is built into my dell xps 15 9560 laptop. I have owned it for 3 years, it works like Carlo's dad, there are no complaints about it. It fulfills all its characteristics. A large volume, which is very convenient, can be divided into several sections, but if you store huge films or series, then even it may not be enough.
    Cons
    • It chokes when writing large files, if several programs are running + I once opened a torrent to all this and the computer hung tightly. Although it is possible that this is not only the fault of the disk.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

What did I pay for? The product is a complete failure.

Went as an accessory in an ASUS laptop. The first two months it worked more or less, and then it began to freeze, sometimes for (death) half an hour, even the task manager did not open. Rearranging Windows saved, but for a while, then everything repeated. Attempts to install a second system, clean Windows, check for viruses, disable the functionality of the system did not give results. Now, because of the broken matrix, I can’t reinstall Windows, the laptop is stupid hard. The disk obviously…

    Pros
    • I do not know what to say.
    Cons
    • All. Everything is wrong with this disc. Slow, buggy, writes and reads extremely slowly.
