Japanese needles are the best

I usually prefer chenille needles for work. However, at Tulip, these tapestries are sharp enough to slide easily over fabric. They are definitely a good brand and fun to sew with. Try them and you will see the difference a quality needle can make in your work.

Pros
  • cross stitch
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not worth the money!

I bought these needles because everyone said they were smooth and less twisted. As long as they are smooth there is little difference when sewing. My threads are still spinning. They are very expensive compared to other brands and not worth it in my opinion. What I liked the most is the golden eye that helps me distinguish them from my other needles.

Really worth it

I have ordered several sets of Tulip needles and to be honest they sew like a dream. I'm pretty picky about needles and do a lot of cross stitch projects with heavy color fills and these are the best. They are sharp enough to slide through thick cross stitches but not sharp enough to easily cut through thread. They're not as long as many of the embroidery needles I actually prefer - they're more maneuverable. And unlike cheaper needles, if they feel a little rough, a quick buff with an emery…
