Great Quality - Bearing Puller

Great price, fast shipping, I've been using these tools from different brands for years and this one is as good as the others / Mac. better than latches because they only make them for slide hammer latches because the shank size is larger than all others

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Worked well - very durable

I unknowingly used this puller with a custom deadbeat hammer with a 16mm 1.5 thread which is similar to 5/8-18 but slightly different from 16 threads per inch differs. The tool worked very well even though it was poorly attached to my reversing hammer. I have since bought a better slide hammer called the 5/8 UNF and the tool fits well.

  • GOLS certified
Cons

Does it appear to have a different thread pattern?

I have not used this item yet, in a few days I will use it to pull the rear axle bearings for the new Silverado 1500. My concern is that although all 5/8 slide hammers should have the same threads, this set doesn't want to free twist more than 2 strands. My concern is that it has a different thread pattern. If it works well when I use it, I plan to increase 3 stars.

Works like magic

Used today to remove the rear wheel bearings from the semi-floating rear axle on my project car (a 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40). The medium puller from the kit fitted perfectly and the bearing popped out with no problem. FWIW I have a nice 10 pound slide hammer. I'm sure having a big and powerful demolition hammer helped a lot too. If you buy this kit, make sure you buy (or have) a 5/8 thread slide hammer.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No instructions

Great bearing puller tool

I love everything about this set. Must be used with a matching slide hammer which I also bought from Amazon. The washers on the pullers are just for positioning and the slide hammer does the rest. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with how easily this set worked for us. I removed the rear bearings from our van and struggled with every part I tried to remove. When I got to removing the bearing this tool worked like magic. Just a couple of hammer hits and the bearing came out so quickly

Pros
  • Fits me perfectly
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Instructions missing

The tool works great when used as intended, ie with a kick hammer. The tool maker is doing themselves a disservice if they don't tell the customer in their listing that a 5/8" fine thread slide hammer is needed. It would be obvious if they sent it with instructions or there is a video somewhere online showing it shows proper use. When I see complaints about bent washers and stripped nuts I know they are using the tool incorrectly as the nuts may not have proper pressure on them other than the…
