If you want the best possible protection for your child when they hit the ice look no further than the Shock Doctor Youth Core Compression Hockey Shorts with Bio-Flex Cup. These shorts are specially designed to give your child maximum protection and comfort no matter how hard they play. The Bio-Flex cup is groundbreaking - it offers excellent protection and is lined with shock-absorbing foam to reduce impact. In addition, the cup is breathable, so your child will not feel hot or uncomfortable…

    • Buen producto buena calidad
    Cons
    • Limited Color Options: The shorts only come in one color which may not match all preferences or team colors. This lack of variety limits customization options for players, coaches, and teams, and can be frustrating for those seeking a distinctive view of the rink.

XX-Small was good for my average size 4-5 year old.

XX-Small was good for my average size 4-5 year old. X-Small was good for my skinny average height of 7 years. Good product. Too bad they weren't for me as a kid.

    Pros
    • Got my son xs because they were cheaper than the small ones. They're a little tight, but that's probably a good thing.
    Cons
    • SIZE LIMITATIONS: While the Shock Doctor Youth Core Compression Hockey Shorts with Bio-Flex cup XX-Small may fit teens, they may not fit larger sized teens, leaving these players without the protection they need.

    just as expected

We have several pairs of these in our house for young hockey players. Medium sized kids aged 5-7 can take small, 8-10 year olds seem to take medium. You may have to take your own cup and swap it out if the boys find the one provided uncomfortable. Be sure to wash them with velcro, they can tear other clothes.

NOT SAFE TO USE. DO NOT BUY!

I play adult hockey. This mug is not comfortable and WILL NOT PROTECT THE USER. The problem is that there is a pouch that holds the cup and is not loose and moves with every step. I've had many cases while horseback riding where the testicle would pop out in the middle of a stride and then painfully rebound on the next stride. I would not recommend this bowl and someone will be seriously hurt if the design doesn't change!

    Hockey Cup on Active

I always used them for hockey. However, the previous version was better (probably around 2014). What's special about this variant is that while the compression on the pant is a bit firmer (which is good), the bottom of the cup no longer supports it, allowing the cup to sit properly on you. The previous version had straps you could put your legs through, which helped keep the cup in place better. While this works and serves its purpose well, I preferred the previous version of this article.

    Works exactly as it should!

These shorts have replaced the old Reebok similar sports shorts. I thought it was great until I got this one and then I realized it had been rebuilt with unnecessary extra materials and straps inside, just like a traditional athlete. This Shock Doctor is lightweight, well made, has velcro for hockey socks and most importantly it fits great. The shell fits to provide full protection without restricting movement. The mug itself has a nice design, good shape and pleasant rim material. You don't…

No improvement over my previous SD shorts.

I bought these pants to replace my previous Shock Doctor hockey pants which had just worn out. I was disappointed when the stitching around the waist label began to unravel about a month after purchase. Luckily my wife is pretty good with the sewing machine and fixed it quickly. I'm also not a big fan of how the cup fits the body. It feels like it's pulling up and needs to be adjusted during use. Velcro sock garters work well and are a better design than my previous pair, but I still use sock…

    Just what we needed

Finding the right size was a wild guesswork game - online there was no choice of cup size, XXS came with a small cup - in the shop at the rink they had XXS with a bear, XS, small mugs - unfortunately sold out before my child tried them on. Really measure the child's waist - as the belt is a thick, tight elastic band and is a good indicator of fit. My son is 4.5 years old and wears 4T-5T pants but we often struggle with wide waist as he is skinny. He is 3ft 2in and 39# and XXS is perfect. His…

    Excellent hockey players; highly recommended.

Excellent Hockey Players. I have two pairs and both have held up well through constant washing. If your hockey socks are a bit short, these compression shorts will be a bit tight, which can cause your cup to be slightly out of position. The cup doesn't seem to fit quite right. I find myself correcting it often, but it's pretty minor. I have loose fitting mesh shorts and they hold the cups in place much better than the compression shorts. The loose ones have elasticated straps that attach to the

Shorts fit well but cup is not securely fastened

This is my third pair of (each different brand) compression shorts with built in cups. These shorts fit nice and snug, but the cup holder inside isn't secured with straps at the bottom like my other pairs have in the past. This means the cup is a little slack and I'm a little skeptical about future puck or stick hits in that area. Earlier couples had two straps attached to the bottom of the cup that pulled it back under and between the legs, keeping it secure and keeping important parts of the…

    100% uncomfortable

I bought this brace to replace the Bauer brace which is currently separating at the back waistband and lower crotch. I was hoping it would be a replacement but after riding it today I realized it couldn't be further from the truth. I had an SD jockey before my current pawn and to be honest I wasn't thrilled with it. having a good athlete before and after, which I still am not. The bottom line is that when a person skates, their legs and stomach move. Anyone who plays hockey knows that. The…
