If it rattles when it comes out of the box, then it's broken!

I contacted the seller because one of the turn signals I received rattled when you took it straight out of the box it came in. The inside where the lightbulb is was broken and the lightbulb didn't work. The other one was ok. The seller never bothered to contact me after I emailed them about their defective product. Never heard a sound. Beware.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Made from poor quality plastic

First I ordered 2 sets to replace the current ones on my bike and 3 out of 4 warning lights arrived damaged. Second, the damage allowed me to see how cheaply the internals were made. The bulbs' orange coating is mottled, uneven, and peeling off one of the bulbs. The bottom line is that the cost paid is not worth the product received.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

it's not OEM ( "not " is southern slang for "not and am ")

So they work. Yes, I think so, but they're nowhere near as good as the factory ones. Solder them into the wiring wrapped in soldered bits and they will flash like a strobe light. Seriously, every time I spin it around on my bike like a rave, it starts out fine but then jumps to a super-fast lightning bolt. I'm sure I could play around with some resistors to prevent this, but for incandescent bulbs it's not worth it. Also, the stitching for the right turn signal is up and the stitching on the…

Quality is inferior to OEM

This item is useful for KLE500 as the lamp rating is the same. The downside is that the "rubber" part is actually plastic (which has some flexibility), but not the same as OEM rubber parts. Another issue mentioned in another review with the KLR650 (2008-) is that the lamp is rated at 15W instead of 21W. This means that the flashing light is dimmer than the original, but the big problem is that it doesn't work on the stock flasher relay (fast flashing due to low load). My solution was to replace

Not very bright bulbs with different wattage

Bought this kit to replace the taillights on my '09 KLR 650. However, I can confirm that they are a perfect fit for the 2nd gen KLR. There are some serious issues. Lightbulbs - lightbulbs of 10 watts. Normal 20 watts. These bulbs are not as bright as the standard bulbs. And the big problem is that they flash quickly because they have different current draws. They blink so fast that they don't seem to reach full brightness before turning off again for the next cycle. I think maybe a new relay…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
