Great for recording OTA broadcasts

This servio is very suitable for recording broadcasts from our OTA antenna. First there was a problem with the firmware update, but SiliconDust support responded within a few hours to help me with this issue. The software works fine. I set it up to record entire seasons of my favorite shows. The only thing I don't like about it is that when you fast forward the ad, you don't see where you are in the video. If there was a thumbnail preview it would be easier. That's not a deal breaker for me…

DVR hardware and client not supplied

I bought this DVR to pair with my HD Home Run Connect Quattro and clear QAM cable TV. I've read reviews that talked about how easily it interacted with other Silicon Dust products. Before purchasing, I searched the support forums and read about issues with the client, including audio out of sync with video, missing grid style guide, and crashes in the client after the June update, but I decided to give it a try anyway. After a few weeks I went back to my old DVR solution. Setting up the DVR…

The easiest way to add a DRV

This is a quick and easy way to get a DVR with an HD HomeRun tuner. It works instantly with zero setting. You just connect it to the network and everything just works! I was amazed at how easy it was. There are other options with HD HomeRun, including Channels, Plex, and PC Recording, but this is the easiest way. Now the HD HomeRun app is unique compared to what you would use for cable or satellite TV. But it works well and is not a big change. The key I learned is using a computer to set up…

This isn't TiVo: Computers and Accessories

I know. Strange name. TiVo has a VERY polished user interface. HD HomeRun's user interface takes a little getting used to. They don't use a grid guide or a guide like TiVo's because they avoid licensing fees. Once you get used to how they work, things will work pretty well. If you've used the HomeRun HD DVR service in the past, that's not a problem if you just want a box that simply records TV from one of your devices. Tuner. There doesn't seem to be any difference I can tell when using the DVR

Better PC app control would really help

I *love* how easy this device is to set up. It's really plug and play, although you'll have to follow the instructions, visit the website, and update the firmware to the latest version only to complete that task sooner rather than wait. That being said, setup is very simple: plug a network cable into a port on the device, connect the other end to a wired connection on your router (or switch or hub) on the same network as your HDHomerun tuner, and connect the power adapter for that device and to
